You think something similar will happen like when Serbia was granted the Schengen white list, and dozens of Albanians from southern Serbia claimed Serbian passport and asked for asylum in several EU countries?

A dozen albanians! 6,7 million albanians asked for Serbian passports to leave their paradise Kosovo and Albania. Kalb women even go to Serbian cities to give birth. They are Serbian when it fits them. Some would call them freeriders! I call them bloodsuckers.

Croats are in no position to decide if the EU is good or bad. No discussion on the value of EU membership is permitted in any aspiring country. It is simply taken for granted that poor "backward" countries would benefit by joining the rich and "advanced" western countries.

If one simply looked at life in Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Slovenia, EU membership might not seem such a good thing. I doubt that Croatia TV spend much time discussing the miserable lives of most EU citizens.

45.1 percent doesn't make up a majority.
But in the EU democracy is available only when it fits.
Remember the French and Irish referendums on the EU constitution?

A condition of Serbia getting on the white schengen list was was that Serbia was required to issue Serbian passports to Kosovo residents from a separate office. They are marked as such and not entitled to visa-free travel in the Schengen area.
