Now if you have not heard there is a little crises going on in the EU - an idea to read up on it; that’s if you can read.
While the elite throw money around like as drunken sailor on a Saturday night after payday, people like you get paid less every month, price of food and essentials increases by the month and all the elite have to do is negotiate a new debt ceiling and all of this at your expense because people like you will pick up the tab at the end.
Perhaps you might get a copy of the UK’s Telegraph, 30 March 2013 edition where there is an article about Slovenia being the next one on the chopping block.
I understand why you don’t see this current crises as a problem and think it’s something I made up because living on social security all your life all you have ever done is filled out a form and like magic money appears in the bank account.

Nikola Selaković where is this pressure coming from? You mean that in the last 14 years the west could not move the situation forward then all of a sudden “there is pressure”
Alas it’s the only pressure of cash that I smell. In other words political opportunists seeking to enrich themselves by playing footsies with the west so they get their hands on a bundle of cash.
“ we entered into the negotiations with Priština for the sake of the date. Both are misconceptions.”
That is exactly the reason or these negotiations and the money.
(sj, 30 March 2013 06:32)

Hold on! But who's paying the cash ? According to the CE of the B92 forums sj the EU and US are broke and in financial chaos and only Russia and China have the cash. Ok, I got it... according to the CE of the B92 forums sj it must be Russia and/or China's cash that is putting pressure on Serbia.

Wake up Serbia! You have nothing to gain and EVERYTHING to lose by joining this unholy alliance of politicians and banksters. The EU is broke. Just look at whats happening in Cyprus.
(anonymous, 29 March 2013 11:48)

Yeah, look what's happening in Cyprus which begged the rich Russia for money and was shown the door and, at the end, was saved by the broke EU's money and only those with bank deposits larger than EUR 100,000 are going to loose - but most of them are Russians anyway :)

Selaković look at the EU – its in financial chaos. If you don’t believe that look at Romania, Bulgaria or even better Slovenia and see how they fared in that paradise called the EU.
Here is the answer to any pressure – NO. Try it for a change.

"Nobody is telling Serbs to leave Kosova, but they have to obey the Kosova laws, just like Albanians in Presheva obey them."
(Ardi Asllani, 29 March 2013 18:38)

True! Besides that, Serbs just have to enjoy their homes being looted and robbed, their cars being stoned, their graveyards vandalized, people who dared to fly a Serbian flag or wearing a shirt with Cyrillic letters being beaten and tortured by KPS members, children being attacked by Albanian 'playing kids'. All coverd by the 'Kosova laws', I think? Besides that, they can enjoy all rights in the independent dream state of Kosovo.

Ardi Asllani

Serbia wants a historical agreement on Kosovo-Metohija, in order for our people to stay there and survive. This is an important moment for reaching a solution for future generations. This is why we have a historic responsibility," Selaković told Belgrade-based daily Večernje novosti.

KOSOVA RECOGNIZES SERBIA

There is no pressure from outside, in the contrary. EU enlargement fatigue is quite obvious in all EU countries, especially in the North. There is no big interest to bring Serbia in and therefore no pressure.

What Serbian politicians describe as "pressure" is only their frustration when they realize that Serbia will go nowhere as long as hard decisions are not made. Prishtina has no reason and will not give even an inch since it rightfully made already concession with the A-Plan.

You will not join the EU with your Kosovo wishes. Never.. You will not have Kosovo either, so all what's left is to give up EU membership on top of your mess. That is the end of discussion. Take it or leave it.

Nikolic has already made it absolutely clear that there will be no independence for Kosovo."

WHO in the world can remember someting "absolutely clear" by Nikolic with his phrases about bad informed US-politicians, hand-shakes etc. He only said Serbia will not recognize (now) the independence of Kosovo what doesnt mean that indirectely it could be done (see hand-shakes, meeting with KS-president etc). Nikolic, the "great Serb leader" said also in these days Serbia will demand that for a "longe period" no KS-army should be deployed in the north of KS. What means "long period" and why he introduced this phrase? Nikolic is the last person who has any word to say in the decicion-making concerning towards. You can see that all this and other duties are too much for him to understand and proper conduct. A Belgrade Kiosk-owner could do it better, more clever.

The headline should be better: Serb people under pressure by Dacic and Co.
How it looks in reality this "pressure" from abroad? Are they pressing with knowledge about personal matters like money, appartments and promises? How a government can be "pressed", how?

And here some highlights:

“But I am confident that the government will make the... the least unfavorable decision in the coming days"

You will hear such words in other countries, Serbia and ever its minimum.

"Serbia wants a historical agreement on Kosovo-Metohija, in order for our people to stay there and survive."

And this was dacic called in the last days "no concession by Prishtina at all" is now a historical agreement and will help the Serbs there to "survive" (what a word instead to say, Serbia demands a normal live there for all)

"The pressure put on our country, the government, the president and the first deputy prime minister is huge,"

But what is this "huge pressure"? Are they offered in foreign embassies a little bit cheaper whisky or Dacic only one steak"

The aim of such words is clear. The Serbs should say, OK they have such a hard situation and are doing the best, lets sign the Ahtisaari-plan, which was strongly rejected by Serbia as "historical agreement"

Zoran

pre 11 godina

Huge pressure eh? Please, tell us what pressure is being applied so we citizens can have an informed opinion...

So, if Dacic doesn't cave in, he will be done for corruption? Nikolic won't get his retirement villa? Vucic will have his government and party sabotaged? Knowing the EU and US with their embedded NGOs, I think that is likely.

Stranac

I think that the parties that formed this coalition government is what makes the situation in Serbia difficult, and not the talks with Pristina. There is a dynamic going on in the peripheries of the talks in Brussels between Vucic and Dacic. Serbia will not get all it wants in the talks, and Dacic will be the goat. And voila, liver lips steps in in his shinning suit of armor to restore faith in the Serbian electorate.

Nikolic has already made it absolutely clear that there will be no independence for Kosovo. The whole dialogue with Kosovo is about independence, so what are these talks all about? Either Nikolic is playing chicken, strange?? Or he is in denial. If he has to choose between Kosovo and the EU it is better to choose the path of the EU because, as Richard Holbrooke said, choose Kosovo and Serbia will get neither.
As for the Serbs living in Kosovo, they will have to get to grips with the fact that they will soon be living in an other country and they should negotiate the best possible deal with this in mind. Only then will the negotiations succeed.
