However nobody in serbia will keep take hot potato to do something for the country instead to look endless of foreign messiahs....foreign investments for Serbia in the times of the huge crisis in Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, Cyprus, France are a real illusion, Serbia has with its low incomes no domestic market of interest, Serbia has no approach to foreign markets as a bridge, for Russia-deals Poland, Ukraine or Belarus are much more better areas to act or going directly to Russia, Serbia is a black hole with endless days off and extreme low productivity, nobody knows who are the owners of property realy, nobody will make investments with a look on the interests of little political parties, nobody will invest in a country to get problems in other Balkan-provinces, Serbia has nothing to offer, because its not dealing with its own country, only endless complaints about other countries (they can do this but we not)but in the same time too strong words of "friendship" what sounds for rational thinking people abroad not honest, the media-echo in the West in the last days relatings Serbia:
Loser in soccer
Loser in tennis
Two Serbs were sent to jail for 22y.
Serb leaders are ready for total capitulation but are careful how to say it their population

leko,
Sometimes it is hard to tell if someone is being sarcastic in their comments but I am going to take it you are saying what you sincerely believe. Of course it is sad to think you actually believe it.
First, the Serbs are NOT in a position of being able to forego the EU funding. You are living from loan to loan, and before someone mentions the debts of other countries, there is the difference in other countries have the infrastructure to actually pay those loans, Serbia does not. Serbia needs more grants and donations to stay afloat and those come from the west not Russia and China.
Also the 2 Germanies model?? Dont' know whether you are talking about Kosovo and Serbia or Kosovo and North Kosovo but both are wrong. Germany is 100% behind Kosovo independence so they are not even entertaining any thing else. The north and south of Kosovo also is a stretch for you to say Germany is supporting that. They still think that Pristina should be the ultimate authority in the north.
Last there is no way your view is from the outside, you are giving a total Serbian point of view.

From outside it looks like Serbia has the upper hand in this dialogue. Serbian politicians can afford to go against the west because the voters in Serbia are not too fond of EU membership. Thaci on the other hand even if he does not like it, will be forced to sign whatever the Americans and Germans decide. It seems like the Germans want a reconciliation model similar to the two Germanies but Serbs can choose to forgo the monetary incentive of getting a date for EU membership talks.

Funny how Vucic cannot even attend a parliament meeting about Kosovo, "the cradle/heart of Serbian nation", in Belgrade "due to previous engagements" but he asks for the presence of German or English FM only 4 days before the meeting in Brussels. Anybody from Belgrade here, how far is his office from the parliament? Let's see if they will call him on this bluff.

A fantastic example of Albanian mentality. As if anyone cares what Kosovo wants? If you have the Brits, Germans and Us on your side why are you even talking to Belgrade?????????????
Here is what’s on your side. Germany, its growth rate this year will be 0.3% or in deep recession. Brits, well they are in big trouble since even their government workers have not had a pay rise since 2010, not even to compensate for inflation increases and last US. They are going so well they are negotiating to increase the debt ceiling beyond 16.5 trillion and have dismantled any idea of a defence shield in Europe; they have scrapped several military projects including frontline aircraft because money is short.
The Russians don’t need to be there are the new conditions are there to guarantee the talks FAIL.

Well, thanks Vučiće... The Albanians will certainly appreciate your effort, as the presence of Germans or Brits (whenever there's any type of agreements among serbs and Albs in question) will only solidify everything that Prishtina / Kosovo wants. The Americans are already there. Ashton represents all of the European countries which the overwhelming majority, as you readers fully understand, have recognized Kosovo, of course including here the most powerful in Europe Germany and Great Britain. So, I don't get it... maybe he meant for Russia to be there? Ooo but they know that ain't gonna fly very well with the EU and US. Bravo Vučiće bravo. Serbs sure do have some 'great common sense' don't they.
