Really?! Ashton's smile is not enough for the Serbs! I'm suprised; Serbs are very satistified with just words of support from Russia; Ashton is even going an extra mile and smiling :)

You think you're funny but you are only a mean little person.
I picture you pulling wings off flies when you were little and think that was funny too.

""I have not seen any positive wish to solve the problem with respect of Serbia’s interests. The important thing is that we have seen (EU High Representative Catherine) Ashton’s happy smile but I don’t think it is enough,” he told Tanjug"

I did like the part about it was Russia that was (I guess solely) responsible for UNSC 1244."

Thats true, it was under Jelzin and its PM who were accepted by Milosevic as mediator...sound like today. Therefore you can expect also from the coming Brussels-agreement some good-looking phrases which are useless in the daily reality.

(just say thanks, 27 March 2013 13:32)

Why solely? UNSC1244 (still valid, btw.) is an UN resolution that had support from all member of the UNSC, including the veto power Russia.

The idea of UN1244 was to have a temporary UN administration for Kosovo until an agreed solution is found - which still didn't happen until nowadays. And that's why there are the Belgrad-Pristina talks, because, unlike some people try to make us believe, the Kosovo issue is still not solved, and a lasting solution shall be found.

So in summation, Russia supports Serbia and that with a Euro, you can buy a cup of coffee.
Russia can block Kosovo's UN seat but the dilemna for Serbia still remains, if they agree (in order to get into the EU) Russia agrees.

For setting a method to "determine the future status of Kosovo". For giving the Kosovo officials the authority to deny the President of Serbia to enter into Kosovo.

“But what is very important for Russia is not to damage the relations with Russia with Serbia’s accession, meaning our interest is to preserve good, friendly relations. One should bear this in mind,” Chepurin pointed out."

A clear warning of Russai towards the Serb leaders

Mr. ambassador, you should be thinking of how you can better protect your own country's interest first! You have some neighbors, that once the opportunity presents itself, would love to be at the doorsteps of the Kremlin itself! Besides, you should be giving Serbia some advise, that is democratic in nature!
But then again, maybe you want Serbia to hold out, so it can give your Putin run Russia, some extra time to get their hands on some more Serbian state owned assets, like Serbia's state run electrical giant! You would just love to get your hands on it, wouldn't you? And for penny's on the dollar, at that! Will a Serbian leader emerge, that will ever bring Serbia out of this nightmare she put herself in??? Time will tell...
