As far as keeping Thaci out of the ICTY, in case you are unaware, there will be no more trials following Mladic and Karazdic.

The feeling I have is that Serbia is the losing party in the dialogue with Kosovo. Forget Kosovo. The strategy should be to appeal to the Serb population of Kosovo to leave Kosovo and relocate them in Serbia, completing the ethnic cleansing of Kosovo. It is better doing so that a constant drip of Serbs emigrating from Kosovo to Serbia. And they should be relocated in strategic areas of Serbia, so that, like the Kosovars have made, the ethnic composition of the territory where serb-kosovars were relocated should be altered in favour to the Serbs. I am referring, for example, to Presevo and Bujanovac. This way, if Serb people are a majority you will avoid future claims on these territories by Albanians.

I never said it wasn't since Kosovo is America's little foothold in the Balkans. I'm just saying that America basically thinks the issue is "solved", so other than actual partition, Washington really doesn't care, and never really cared, how weak and fragmented Kosovo's authority is. Don't think the US cares about Kosovo anymore than it can benefit from a compliant leadership. They say a lot of things but they're in no position to enforce anything.

I have yet to read something from Team Serbia that resembles somewhat a rational response. So Serbian can have Northern Kosova, you can keep it, we don't want it. However Serbia must take full responsibility of North Kosova instead of scapegoating and pointing the finger at Prishtina!
