Finally Serbia has a responsible politician at the head of state. Realistically, he could be PM. He has the support of the people, he is the leader of the strongest party, and he has a lot of political power. I guess he will be, after the next elections.
Personally I respect that decision because it shows that Vucic put Serbia above political ambitions. As for the Government I think there are a few people who should be replaced with more efficient ones.
If that was true, Dacic would never have accepted the position of the Prime minister. As soon as certain people started asking for Vucic to be the Prime minister, Dacic has immediately stated that there is no way that he will back down and that new PM means new government. Soooo, i don't think you're right.
Sure, wait until Dacic has been forced to accept whatever it is that Brussels is pushing and then take the job. Being Prime Minister will be a lot more fun after this nasty little problem with Kosovo is history, and can all be blamed on one politician and one party. With Thaci knowing that you're ready to throw Dacic under the bus once this is all over, he has no reason to give away anything important. (He's given himself another bargaining chip with talk about reparations - maybe a deal on that could be spun as a victory for Serbia?)
