Well we don't intervean in the internal affairs of other countries"

Sure, I only forget the "little wars", a demonstration hownot to intervene in internal affairs of other countries. But Serbia has learnt his lesson, now it will not intervene in the obligations the country has from his constitution. Serbias position is ever extreme, you dont know what they are doing in the next moment. And surely all users posting critcal to Serbia are "Albanians". So excuses for the own position can be made easily.

"I always thought that Croatia's greatest weakness was its inability to distance its current policy and mindset from the worst elements of its past. This shortcomming would hamper Croatia from becoming a modern state."

Not only Croatia's. Another thing that Serbs and Croats share: Not admitting the worst parts of their history, only blaming others for the bad thing they did.

Somehow sad to see that the so-called 'patriots' (which should better be called nationalists/extremists) in these countries still have so much influence and support from the citizens.

You can say it with other words: Serbia isnot protecting the substantial interests of its own country and its people. Serbia is silent if its feel that other countries are more important as EU members. If you reject to defend the legitimate interests ou are the typical loser. What Serbia is today.

Zoran Milanović is more dangerous than the worst HSP ustashe because he is cunning, he says privately what they say openly and publicly.

I would rather have an enemy that tells me he wants to kill me straight to my face than one who tells me lies that he is my friend but will also kill me when the perfect opportunity arises.

There is no room for Serbs in any Croatian state, as Crotia in all its models, is a nation built on genocide of Serbs.

Prime Minister Milanovic shows himself to be a very decent leader and a civilized man. He gives me hope for the future of Serb-Croat relations.

I always thought that Croatia's greatest weakness was its inability to distance its current policy and mindset from the worst elements of its past. This shortcomming would hamper Croatia from becoming a modern state. Then I heard that Croatia wants to become a regional power and I shrugged it off thinking that they would not be able to influence anyone if they refused to compromise and refused to stop white washing elements of their past.
Now I think it is possible that I am wrong. This guy, who is probably very patriotic, does not want the extreme right to embarrass Croatia on the world stage. I think he wants to build up the good elements of Croatia and he is leading Croatia and perhaps the rest of the Balkans by example.
Maybe we should for once look at what a Croat is doing as an example for us. We have already renounced the worst of our past, we have no more
skeletons or demons left they have been exposed by all of our enemies.

Now is the time for us to work on image and trade with willing partners. Now we can assert our position and sovereignty without being a whipping boy to anyone.

If Croatia does build itself up as a local power, and it does it responsibly it would be to Serbia's benefit, but if Croatia can not divest itself from the ugly elements of its past, it will never amount to anything, and that is no good for the region.

I am impressed by this politician, i hope he lives up to his words, and I hope he inspires others throughout the Balkans.

What on god's green earth are you talking about? The only thing I could understand was where all the comments from serbs were. Well we don't intervean in the internal affairs of other countries, unlike you albs who just stick your noses everywhere you can. Next time put aside the vodka bottle so your comments become understandable.

But where are the Serb comments about the events in Zagreb? Belgrade is quiet not to get bad comments from Croatia/EU. Zagreb has shown clearly that its over with friendship etc. The Serbs should close this chapter.

Zoran Milanovic comes across as a decent fellow struggling against a residual tide of Croat nationalist triumphalism. I hope he manages to best the primitives. He's got his work cut out for him.
