The signals coming out of Northern Kosovo i Metohija is that the Serbs there simply wont recognize any agreement their state makes if its not in their interest.
(Ari Gold, 21 March 2013 15:22)

Great to hear that even Northern Kosovo i Metohija is independent from Serbia (some people appeared to have doubt about that).
----------

This was all supposed to be agreed upon, done and over with, signed sealed and delivered in July 2011. But the Serbs there had other plans... those plans have not changed.
(Ari Gold, 21 March 2013 15:22)

And nobody has any problem with the Serbs’ plans and what they did or do with them. Customs taxes are being collected for all goods destined to Kosovo as required by UNMIK regulations. It is immaterial what Albanians or Serbs think or plan about that since it is UNMIK that rules Kosovo.

Of course he is glad there was no agreement. Its easier to cause trouble thn it is to find a solution. Another nobody sharing his opinion. In the meantime, lets all just gather for one moment and listen to some excellent music:)

"I am pleased that our negotiating team has made a full stop, drew the red line, and did not accept further conditions and blackmail coming from the U.S. and EU," Nedeljković told Most TV from Zvečan, northern Kosovo

Nedeljković, we will see how pleased you will be once Serbia signs on the dotted line, and the Serbs of Kosova will be required to abide by the constitution & laws of Kosova! Once Nikolic, Dacic, and Vucic accept the EU & U.S. backed agreement, it will be much easier for Kosova's government to send in government forces to their northern frontiers, in-order to bring much needed stability & the re-establishment of the rule of law, which it has been lacking for the past 14 yrs, due to rebellious Serbs which are involved with criminal activitys within this region of Kosova! Who knows, Maybe the agreement will also require that Serbia will also have to send in their special units, inorder to help Kosova's government forces bring down the rebellious Serb element within Kosova's territory? That my Freinds, would be a historical event! That my Friends, would defiantly bring about a new and positive chapter in Albanian-Serbian relations! We will see, if truly the international big boys really have been planning long term stability of the Balkans region, or were they infact just looking to temporarily bandage this huge historical problem, time will tell? I myself, hope that it is a long term fix, giving Serbia & the Albanians time to establish strong ties!

Or do they expect that Serbia will continue funding them?

No, thats not the truth. Serbia is forced to pay for Prishtina much more. Dacic has accepted the beginning of pension-payments for Albanians there. And all the other "deals" (engery, telecom, post)will bring cash for Prishtina. Serbia is accepting a kind payments for the lost of Kosovo and getting possibly a date from Brussels. The real problems for Belgrade will start soon: money.

An interesting question - is the money they will be getting (every year) from the EU more than what they will lose to Prishtina? I haven't seen any projections about losses to Prishtina, but the money from the EU will be substantial. They will also be able to borrow more cheaply, and foreign investment will increase. All-in-all, it sounds like a good deal, financially.

Do the powers they intend to assume include the power to collect taxes? Or do they expect that Serbia will continue funding them?

Instead to take part in the Brussels-tals to know whats going on this guy is staying in the corner like a nasty child. At the end he will be replaced by a loyal Serb, loyal to Prishtina. And Belgrade will be happy.
Serbs are not feeling great solidarity for each other, only money, positions and family are important
(Marc, 21 March 2013 14:54)

The signals coming out of Northern Kosovo i Metohija is that the Serbs there simply wont recognize any agreement their state makes if its not in their interest. The Kosovci have made it clear they wont be ruled either directly or indirectly form the institutions in Pristina.

Only chance is to physically force them. You have tried that already and failed. And NATO-KFOR simply wont do it. They don't mind trying to harass and intimidate but they wont open fire on citizens expressing their free will.

This was all supposed to be agreed upon, done and over with, signed sealed and delivered in July 2011. But the Serbs there had other plans... those plans have not changed.
