Look at Thaqi's coat! Is at least EURO 25000 at least if not more.

If he has a slight dignity he and his advisers should have gone to Vatican in rags or even naked to demonstrate solidarity with its own people, majority of which are malnourished, some close to starvation.

This guy does not represent Kosovo's interest. I don't have evidence but I can smell corruption in his inner circle on a great scale.

As mentioned by one poster below after Tadic shook hands with Thaci (not as President) Nikolic stated in July last year that he would never shake hands with Thaci until the latter was investigated for war crimes etc.

Its not very dignified to be caught in a clear lie is it? Nikolic said this lie as President and now as President representing Serbia he shakes Thaci's hand. Quelle surpise, I didn't expect it at all!

Many were getting rather excited about Tadic shaking hands with Thaci and now it seems that these individuals have nothing to say...

After shaking hands with Nikolic Thaqi wont wash his hands ever again. However, if I was Nikolic I would cut off the hand that touches this alb organ snatcher.
(MikeC, 21 March 2013 23:58)

Well if that is the case, I hope Thaci shakes both of your hands so we don't have to read any of your silly comments ever again.

Serbia's geo-political position towards Kosovo is truly a joke, no credibility what so ever.

By directly shaking hands with Thaci, Nikolic is personally on behalf of Serbia recognizing Thaci as the Prime Minister of an independent Kosovo.

There is NO hope for Serbia's position, PERIOD.

winston

Hahaha, the article doesn't mention that Nikolic had one of those buzzers in his palm - funnily enough, Thaci enjoyed it, and wouldn't let go of Toma's hand - go figure. In any case, good to see Albanians and Serbs having some sort of contact, without holding a gun.

At least kosova will never implicity or explicity recognize kosova.

Then to prove that the handshake was no big deal this was given as proof.....

"Thaci is not the only person with whom Nikolić shook hands with, he also did it with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Croatian President Ivo Josipović, presidents of Chile, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia and with the Montenegrin prime minister, it is added in the release."

Hahahah so out of all those presidents, prime ministers and heads of state you shook hands with, thaqi was the only one not in the club?

Since when is shaking ones hand such a big deal? It is a civilized gesture. Good for both men. Showing civility and being a gentlemen nothing wrong with that.

It is common courtesy. The same people who criticize the gesture of handshaking, in case that president Nikolic did not shake hand with Tachi, would say that Serbs are impolite savages. It is hard to please people.

I don't believe that Thaci deserves any courtesy and certainly would not call Nikolic a savage if he didn't shake his hand. Who cares what Albanians say anyway.
Now I am more than willing to call Nikolic a liar because he said he would never do that and here is is breaking his word.

I am very disappointed in Nikolic and have been for some time now. He has proven to be a liar, incompetent and not worthy of the office.
It's such a pity that there are so few quality politicians in Serbia. People really don't have good representation.

Nikolic this was the final straw and you really must go.

A Serb peasant without higher studies knows more how to act as the really non-educted Nikolic playing president without any succes. All the people here trying to be so well-educated are presenting only their problems with real education and the tasks of a president. If you will not see somebody you are ignoring him. Every Western leader knows this "art". I dont believe that Nikolic is such a "fine person" like coming from Parisor London. He is very tough to come to the position where he is. Only with Thaci he should have problems to find the right way?

The Serbian government has done more to meet with Kosovan government officials than the Kosovar minority which they are "fighting" on their behalf.

When was the last time Nikoliq or Daciq acknowledged the serb minority here with a proper meeting?

Admit it, this is another signal that Belgrade is in the right path to normalize relations with Pristina, i.e. recognition.

" I cannot shake hands with a man said to have committed crimes against Serbs until it is determined whether he did or did not,” Nikolić said at the time."

Well since Nicko is stealing Dick and Carlas wages, the propaganda has ended, and the Serbs dont even want to buy the fiction.

There are doubts about Nikolic´s involvement in the ongoing events in Brussels. Nobody knows if Vucic is informed about the details despite he has his confident in Brussels. But nobody knows what Dacic is promising behind closed doors. All Serb statements are showing a total confusion and Dacic has no interest to make the situation clearer. The coming agreement will a unclear mixture of non-binding points for Prishtina. But for Serbia it is the political and legal end in the battle for Kosovo.

This is a message for all families of Serb soldiers or civilians who were killed, or for the Serbs which cannot return to Kosovo or... Yes, after a REAL agreement you can shake hands, but not in the current situation where permanently Serbs are under attack with acceptance by Prishtina or with orders from there. The problem is that for some people on the Balkans such gestures are without importance. In a Western country nobody would do this, because these guys in the West are really educated and they hav dignity.

“With protocol communication with Thaci, the Serbian president expressed support to the negotiations led by Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić with the representative of the Priština interim institutions,” said Nikolić’s advisor Stanislava Pak Stanković.

In the background you can see smiling the Austrian PM. "Protocol communication" is a word only known in Serbia. On the other side the communication should give support to talks, it is clearly more as "protocol". Serbs are making by their own non-understanding or feeling they are doing wrong things statements whcih are not logical at all.

Nikolic has so many problems in the international arena if you see his useless statements opposite the US -Vice president. Thaci is in a good position, he can only wait for the Serbs saying Thank you for the battle of the UCK. Thaci would never make such an gesture opposite Serbia. Nikolic is so stupid after it was forbidden for him to travel to Kosovo. No dignity, no education, no overview whats going on.
