This illustrates mu pointabout the US eventually abandoning you albanians. Its only a matter of time. This is the American foreign policy hallmark. John asked why would the US leave they built camp bondsteel. The US is known for cutting its losses and running. Like I said the Vojska Srbija will put bondsteel to go use!

robert1899; cutting back on spending when the American economy is still in the ditches isn't abandoning anyone. The US won't abandon Poland because of its proximity to Russia. Albania would be on the chopping block before Poland as Albania is much less strategically critical. I imagine once the Americans suck all the minerals they want out of Kosovo, then they'll leave.

Oh Robert, read the article again. The Polish want to establish their own shield while the Americans fend of the most imminent threat, the Northkorean lunatics. It is good that the US adjust their technology and prepare them for all possible use. Within the next 2 decades that system will be fully operational, neutralizing all possible ICBMs. When China and Russia will fall into pieces due to internal turmoil of their demographic and ecologic catastrophes, the West and US will be prepared for those fractionized warlord countries which will fight for food and basic necessities.

I'm not Robert. I the article again. But I read in between the lines also, which you should too -- bottom line is that the Yankees seem to have decided that eastern Europe (where Poland and "Kosova" are located) are now less important and not worth antangonizuing the Russians over.

I know your fondest wish must be for Russia and China to fall apart. But they have existed for centuries long before Yankee Land even set itself up (through slavery, and conquest of Mexican and native Indian lands). And look at the news media today -- which countries are having the world's most humongous debts and need bailouts? -- hint: they are located very much closer to "Kosova". I wonder who will really be the ones to "fight for food and basic necessities" in the future ....

Indirectly paid for by other EU members of course. Poland will get 140 billion Euro from the EU until 2020 (although the EU budget has been rejected by the EP). This 140 billion will be spend on a lot of others things but that means Poland does not have to pay for these other things themselves. Golden times for profiteers.

Germany has just made significant cuts to ordered Tigers and NH-90s & is a bad NATO partner that refuses to spend the minimum 2% GDP on defense as required by NATO. You'd do better drinking Zubrowka with Sikorski and dreaming.

Serbia should build its own missile shield. In its history has been attacked by Turks, Austrians, Hungarians, Bulgarians, Germans, Americans and their NATO puddles.

If any country needs protection it must be Serbia.
