"Changes to Constitution before EU accession"

Serbian Minister of Justice Nikola Selaković has said that Serbia will not change its Constitution for the time being.

Where in the world are judges elected? As far as I know, they are always appointed. Just look at the supreme court of the USA, it does not get any more political than that. But, every talking head from the EU has to throw in his/her 2 cents. That is what they are paid to do. Do as I say, not as I do.

When it comes to suggestions coming from the French ambassador, who criticized the election of judges and prosecutors in the parliament"

In France the prosecutors are named by the government or ministry of justice with much more influence political circles like in an election by the parliament, what you can see in endless scandals there. It would be seen in Frnace as extreme unfriendly if the Serb ambassador would "critizise" this procedure in France. But in Serbia an ambassador can say what he want. How the Serbs have given such ambassadors the feeling that this has no consequences?
