Advisor to the Serbian president Marko Đurić says Serbia has done "everything politically and humanly possible" for compromise with Priština to be reached.

You are joking, right? Milosevic closed the University in the Albanian language, and Albanian newspapers and tv/radio stations, and fired all Albanians of their jobs, and sent there the army and policy to routinely harass and beat up people for no reason, before deciding to deport a million Albanians, and kill, burn, pillage and rape. This is what you call more rights than any minority in the world?

The situation is clear and always has been.
Serbia will never recognise an independent Kosovo, because Serbia is living in denial of what inhuman actions it committed on the Albanian population during the 90's.
Believe it or not there are those that still do not believe in the WWII holocaust which exterminated 6000.000 Jews and about 20.000.000 Russians (Stalin murdered his own people before, during and after the war).
This single act of aggression, enacted by the then president of Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevic, is now haunting politicians in Serbia ever since and they know full well that such actions has lost them the right to govern over that population.
Knowing this Albanians took the opportunity and the result was that 90% voted to secede from Serbia and did so with a landslide. In fact Albanians in Kosovo haven't been too happy with the Serbs since 1913 when, after nearly 500 years, Serbia managed to take back Kosovo. Had Serbia managed the Albanian population with more respect and as equals we would not be in this situation today.
But..Serbia keeps hanging on, because by facing off to the Albanians it wins them popularity and votes. People forget about their own problems when faced with a common enemy. This is the oldest trick in the book.

Please allow me to understand this correctly: Serbia claims to be doing the best it can by drafting its own platform and demanding that the other side abide to Serbia's self imposed rules.
Absurd is not the proper word to describe the mentality of Serb leadership and thank god the entire world is witness to the Serb deceit and dishonesty.
Good Luck in convincing Washington and Brussels that you are really honest. As when it comes to dealing with Prishtina I am certain that if it wasnt for the US troops your tanks would be rolling in the center of Prishtina within hours. This is how honest you are in solving the problem peacefully.
