You have no choice "

You have ever a choice and therefore the well-piad politicians are there to find out the right choice. The Serb "policy" is of such an level how the whole Serbia is. Without education, knowledge and real patriotism you cannot achieve anything. A nation which accepted 500 years under Turks must also accept wars by the EU against them. And the Serbs are doing this. Serbia is lying in its core business-agriculture. It will never say the truth to the own people.

con, this time the EU was holding the gun, not the US. The last time the US was holding a gun was in 1999. That was a big gun and very effective. The latest B92 news I just read - announced as a big serbian "pobjeda" (victory)- is that according to Nicolic Pristina "gave in". Gave in in what? They are ready to give up their independence and happy to rejoin Serbia? But Dacic and his deputy are not smiling at all. This looks very strange to me. Will I see maybe in the next few hours some news about spontaneous fireworks celebrating the news in Belgrade?

Joe your right. It's a shame what is happening. Every few years the U.S. puts a gun to Serbia and says sign here. No choice. No free world.

So nice of him to come out and provided geopolitical analysis at no-charge.
Maybe he shouldn't be so honorary since he effectively put Serbia on the fast track to establish the Kosovo - Serbia border...I mean Integrated Border Management, I mean integrated BOUNDARY management.

Maren, no matter how you slice it Serbia has no room for manoevers. Don't compare it to any other country. You have no choice but to sign at the dotted line.

There is now Western country which would sent in the same moment a leading opposition politician during such delicate moments parralel to Brussels. It is in modern diplomacy unknown that all state-leaders are together negotiation. So their is no more space to act for them. Normally such talks are in the hands of real experts. The higher or highest ranks would be only visible in a last moment or never. The German-German agreement was signed only by two deputy ministers without attandence of any higher ranks. It shows the un-professional approach of the Serbs at all. West-Germany has ever avoided to sent any representatives of the Foreign Office to the German-German talks, it was for them a internal affair. Why Serbia has not sent a high-ranking person from the Ministry for internal Affairs as chief-negotiator? The great gestures by Dacic to solve in some talks very difficult and old disputes was emty and demontrated only the limits of this person.
