Another well-paid Eurocrat taking a stance against the results of national elections in Greece and Italy.The next thing he's going to tell us is whether he's going to send Nato or the EU troops in and try to persuade the Greeks and Italians to vote again because they voted the wrong way.

The Greeks and Italians Mr Junker are fully aware of the fact that those who led them into this dreadful mess are the very politicians they elected to safeguard their futures, and who are now covering themselves in their national flags. It was the politicians who created bloating public sectors and allowed borrowing to explode and sat back and did nothing about the massive bubble being created.

But the present crisis resulting in very severe austerity measures in Greece and Italy was partly contributed by paranoid people like yourself insisting in creating a centralised monster with a common currency.The Euro and the disparities between the economies of the different EZ members have brought animosity between some EU countries which has not been seen since WWII. War or at least, civil unrest seems more likely the longer the Euro continues to exist.With the Italian political crisis unravelling in the coming months the EU is on one ticket to collapse.Watch this space!

Clearly misinfomed to speak of 'intolerance' when it comes to Italian elections.. Some Italian elected politicians expressed criticism towards the current German Government policies, but no one made racist or anyhow derogatory comments about Germans. A different story in Greece, unfortunately...

Maybe it's similar to 1913 because Germany has gotten it's noise in everyone's business again. Wilhelm tried to be the arbiter of Europe and failed. Merkel and her successors will also fail. No one likes a foreign country dictating terms to them.

Well if national elections bring to surface national intolerance, let's cancel them once and for all. I bet that development would make many Eurocrats happy since the will of the europeans peoples is clearly not their cup of tea. When all Greeks were portrayed by the western media as lazy, incompetent, tax evading bastards we didn't hear mr Junger protest about such racist stereotypes that perpetuate ethnic hatred and misunderstanding among peoples. When the german issue of Focus magazine showed an ancient greek statue giving the finger towards the Greeks that image didn't shock him either. The only image that shocked him was that of Merkel in a nazi uniform which was an exaggeration but those things are bound to happen in demonstrations. Maybe the EU should ban demonstrations as well since some pretty appalling things happen during them. Sometimes they even bring governments down God forbid.

I think the Greeks and Italians have it right, Germany is behaving like the Fourth Reich lately, and the 'ugly German' is back. Just look at their behaviour in the Balkans, and their unwavering support for ALL their former Nazi allies, and anyone can see that they really have not changed one bit - they are just marketing themselves differently now.

Delusional. In 1909 Austria unilaterally went ahead and annexed Bosnia without asking anyone's opinion- no co-operation just ego and hubris - during the process they bullied Serbia into accepting this land grab with the threat of war.

Germany backed Austria and in so doing humiliated Serbia's ally Russia who could not protect Serbia or the Serbs and Muslims of Bosnia - who wanted independence - as Russia was unprepared for the ultimate defense - war.

This aggressive Austro-German move also offended the British and the French whose protestations were ignored, and so the seeds for World War 1 were sown in German and Austrian arrogance and diktats. Sound familiar?
