“Serbia likely to get platform instead of EU talks date”
Serbia will in June get the green light for the “pre-phase of the negotiations”, which is something that has never been done before, a daily has learned.
The EU plain and simple does not want Serbia. Your politicians are idiots merely trying to fool the masses. Serbia has nothing to offer while all around you are EU states. The EU simply wanted to make sure Serbia had been pacified and that it wont be making anymore trouble. Now that has been done with Kosovo taken away. Serbia is poor, backward and irrelevant in the eyes of the EU and they sure as hell dont want to be spending their tax dollars on a failed state. Croatia will be the final country into the EU for a very, very, very long time ....
The eu is not going to bring in a member that has another potential member in it's constitution. Kosovo is on the eu track too. Even Serbia has customs with it and an ambassador to it. But it's constitution says Kosovo is a part of Serbia.
This makes no sense to me, are they not already in a "platform", hence the charade negotiations with the Thaci narcoists? Or, are they now "officially" in line for ascencion date talks?
The EU/Western approach to this issue is not very EU in spirit, but very 19th century.
Darko, sure, it is possible to survive if you don't mind stone age conditions. By every passing year your living standard deteriorates further. It does not mean however that you will not afford meat anymore. In stone age people ate a lot of meat. And life expectancy was pretty short.

are you surprised the carrot gets waved and then all at once its gone .serbs should realise you will never be in the broke EU ,get closer to the bricks and not the EU thats a smart choice.....

I just wonder when Serbia will wake up and realize the the Eu is not for Serbia? Neither do they want us nor should we want them. All the Eu is trying to do is to give the illusion they want us to join and make us recognize Kosovo. After that Serbia will become another Turkey. The Eu doesn't want any more Balkan nations to join after mini Germany Croatia joined.
