I wonder if Mr. Đilas still is so keen of new elections... He didn't understand that a political party isn't - even in Serbia - just a one man show. Part may have blind members and voters who don't mind how its leaders think and act but at least one out of five members/voters is able to think independently and make own conclusions.

Đilas and his crew forgot the role of diplomacy in politics, that is also called the art of the possible, as Otto von Bismarck described politics. To succeed in politics it's good to understand what is possible to achieve -considering times, conditions, your opponents, voters, etc. But a good politician isn't passive in front of these possibly limiting factors. A good politician strengthens possibilities for the party aims to become realized. Diplomacy is one method to add your possibilities. And diplomacy doesn't only mean selling your idealism, or making compromises that amputate your program.

Đilas started with a sword in his hand. We have learned what happens with such politicians, after the glorious first steps.
