If the Germans,Brits,Dutch and Austrians have their way Romanians won't be allowed free movement to those countries and there is nothing Romania can do about. There is this perception amongst the politicians of those countries that Romanian and Bulgarian Roma are freeloaders and they want to terminate their inflow into their countries.

I do recall you've changed the date of Romania's entry into Schengen few times in the past and the only certainty is there will be a meeting to discuss it at the end of the current year but not to set a date. Romania, according to Germans, has along way to go in terms of having an independent competent judiciary, corruption and organized crime.

You see Mircea, the EU is deep in the S..t and this is the main reason why the Romanians are not welcomed there. These EU b@stards who are destroying millions of lives in order to preserve the dream of Ever Closer Union and an EU Superstate should all face a Ceascescau moment.

Leonidas,

On 1 January 2014 Romanian citizens will be free to work without a work permit in EVERY EU MEMBER STATE.

The seven year transition period will expire on 31 December 2013. Therefore, no EU Member State will be able to impose restrictions on Romanian workers.

Romania has met ALL the technical conditions in order to join the Schengen Area. Therefore, Romania will join the Schengen Area. The date of Romania's accession to the Schengen Area will be set this year.

You're either a masochist or totally oblivious to the debate and meetings taking place within the EU regarding the free movement of Romanians and Bulgarians .Let me update you,the EU interior ministers not only postponed a decision on Romania's entry into Schengen zone but four countries also confirmed they will make it very difficult, if not impossible ,for Romanians and Bulgarians to move and settle within their territory.read the German and the British media to get an idea of what I am talking about. So much for EU's free movement of labour.

There will be no referendum on the EU with Cameron as Conservative Party leader. The reason is simple: if Cameron remains leader the Conservatives will lose the election and the question of a referendum will not arise. If however the Conservatives do win the election it will be with someone else at the helm.Boris?

Look at the map, Mircea EU Serf,

Ex-USSR not in EU
Africa not in EU
Middle East not in EU
Australia not in EU
South America not in EU
India not in EU
China not in EU

That adds up to over 90% of the world's population not in the EU.

Serbia would do much better as an independent country in the heart of the EU trading with the whole world.

Zoran,

Serbia has no alternative to the EU.

Look at the map:

Bulgaria - EU Member State
Croatia - EU Member State on 1 July 2013
Hungary - EU Member State
Romania - EU Member State

Macedonia - EU candidate country
Montenegro - EU candidate country

He added that he expected London to offer Serbia significant support on its EU pathway.

As the UK prepares a referendum to exit the EU, this guy expects the UK to assist Serbia in joining. Yes, with pleasure, if they dislike Serbia that is. All aboard the sinking Titanic, only third class tickets remaining.
