Whats your problem dude? The guy was re-elected 4 times in what was described by Jimmy Carter as the most transparent and cleanest elections in the world. Is it the fact that President Chavez is the focus of your anger because he refused to have his country being used as a tool of Western imperialism and looked after his people unlike other right wing, US backed undemocratic military fascist juntas who enriched themselves and when the natives rebelled, they tortured, massacred their citizens or dropped them out of helicopters over the Atlantic.

You probably still think General Pinochet was a great guy.

No, he was loved by the poorest part of the citizens, because he spend a lot of the oil billions for public welfare. Nevertheless, Venezuela became one of the most corrupt countries in the region, with high unemployment, a ruined economy and a split society under his regime. Without the oil billions, Venezuela would be nothing.
(Comm. Parrisson, 7 March 2013 19:51)

I cant get over some of the haters who are parotting what is being said in the right wing media. Hugo Chavez took over a country with over 80% of the population in extreme poverty.. Many had no access to health or education. The corrupt ruling oligarchy creamed off the profits and stuffed their bank accounts in Switzerland and didnt give a rat's a** about the people. President Chavez through his programmes simply used the proceeds of the oil money that otherwise would have gone to the wealthy and lifted millions of Venezuelans out of poverty. He gave them housing, jobs, healthcare and education. Of course he was not going to overturn 100 years of oligarchic croneyism and corruption in just 14 years but he has left a lasting legacy on his country that the Right will never be able to reverse.

The days of the oligarchic rule is over. Get used to it neo-liberal Right wingers.

As an Albanian, I came here for the news (know what the other side is saying) but stayed for the comments. I like to see everyday what you people are talking about. It amuses me. Also because it bothers you so much caugh*peggy.
=============================

Then you must be the only Albanian who comes here for the right reasons. If you care to read Albanian comments here you will know that the rest of Albanians come here to stir, get anger and hatred off their chest and annoy.
If you come here for the reasons you say then it doesn't bother me at all.
I find your name funny for an Albanian too.

I now understand why Albanians hate so much, it is because they hate themselves so much.

Hugo Chavez was loved by his people, why....because he took care of them. The only reason the opposition didn't like him was because he stopped their elite from pocketing all the revenue made from the oil and distributed it to help the people to make their lives better, can any of you Albanians say the same for any of your corrupt leaders....no you can't, that is why you hate yourselves so much because you are corrupt and even your US puppet masters have had enough of your crap. Not one Albanian will ever be as great as Hugo Chavez, not in a billion years. RIP HUGO CHAVEZ.

don't understand why this guy is a hero to socialists. his country got more corrupt with each passing year he spent in office. the erosion of democracy inside venezuela is well documented. it seems, for some on the left, you only have to be anti US and say the word anti imperialist and you become a hero.

It's a loss.
First the Albanians say they come on this site because of Kosovo and that is of interest to them. Why are they coming on here badmouthing someone who has nothing to do with Kosovo?
Surely there are Albanian sites they can go on where they won't be challenged and all will be in agreement but here they are, all out in force having to contradict anything a Serb says.
They just can't help themselves. They are a just incapable of minding their own business.
