Wow, what a surprise. The west has been asking Belgrade to recognise Thaci the thug since 1999 and we are now well into 2013. Hmmm, that tells you something about the situation.

Those that think that new agreements are being cobbled together now, I hate to disappoint our little Albanians friends that nothing will change. Belgrade will never join the EU and they know this for a fact. The only reason they are going through this charade is simply because the EU is paying well anyone who sings the joys of the brotherhood and unity of one Europe (remind me of Yugoslavia and look what happened to that place).

Every country in the EU is in trouble in varying degrees and with Brussels fighting to salvage what it can I doubt that Serbia will join that bankrupt group soon. The Croats are praying for 11 billion Euros upon joining; I would not hold my breath for that money because most of it is either spent already or is in services and not hard cash.

This official added that Belgrade should clearly state that without Serbian institutions in Kosovo and Metohija Serbs would not survive.

If Belgrade depends on 4 Municipalities in Kosova, than Serbia is doomed.

Belgrade has still de-facto recognized independent Kosovo and we will see many surprising agreements soon. Vucic has many times declared it will come to "painful" decisions what can only mean that Belgrade is ready to give-up Kosovo. Romania is possibly beginning to recognize Kosovo. Why these countries should be mor Serbian as the Serbs. The Serbs are giving Kosovo away for a date. This is a clear signal to follow.

Serbia should not be forced to recognize Kosova. I don't believe in forcing someone to do something. However, I still believe that Kosova and Serbia should recognize eachother soon. This will ensure a lasting peace in the Balkans. It's only a matter of time before Kosova is in the UN and EU. Serbia will have to accept the reality. War changes things - NATO helped us get Kosova just like Russia helped Serbia get Vojvodina. That's reality.

"one side cannot gain everything and the other lose everything".

I don't understand if you Serbs are really stupid or you simply love to play that role.

one side all the other nothing... this implies one side 50% the other 50% of rights.

do Serbs represent 50% of Kosova?????

one side 95% the other side 5%.

you can have as much as is your share. Serbian share in Kosova is 5%.

This is the very essence of the conflict in Kosova as the Serbian micro-minority wants to impose her poltiical will on the overwhelm majority of 95%. This means war. No compromise can be achived on this. Not now not tomorrow. Not in Kosova or anywhere in the world. Minorities do not rule. You are micro-minority. Full stop.

I am simply amazed with EU to what country with this type of understanding and respect of basic democratic rules is accelerating the EU membership. This is scandal. It even pushes Kosova to discuss/negotiate with them.

Why don't EU/US apply to Serbia the same pressure that Russia is applying to Kosova??? Russia is vetoing Kosova's UN membership so should EU veto Serbian access to €U. And lets see how things will go how fast a compromise* will be found.

*with compromise it is understood how fast Serbs will understand the basic principle that 5% of stake earn you 5% of profits.

Poor news, because if says practically nothing. Just the first sentence is related to the header. The rest is just opinion from the Serb camp which is of zero interest since already known. What we need here are facts. E.g. who exactly asked indirectly to recognize Kosovo? What is meant with "indirectly"?

That are question which good journalists should point out and in what the readers are interested in, no matter which opinion they have, and not the usual and hollow Blabla.
