Just a clarification that 14 million is the total number of eDreams customers worldwide, not the number who participated in the survey. Full survey results here: http://www.edreams.com/best-airports/

Yes, for sure Strasbourg airport may still beat Nikola Tesla airport. And then what?

A train track should be built from Nikola Tesla airport to Zemun station. Airport train would service passengers to Belgrade center via Zemun station where passengers to Novi Sad, even to Zagreb and Budapest could do their transfers. Well, the Belgrade-Budapest track should be fixed and soon. It's a shame in which condition it is. I dare to say nowhere else in Europa trains travel so slow between two capitals.

After the fall of Malev Belgrade has a chance to build a hub to compete with Budapest.

I was during 23 years one of responsible at the Strasbourg airport within Air France company. Although smaller, this airport looks better, has better equipment and all the rest. Even former US and Canadian military bases in Lahr and Baden Baden are better than Belgrade airport.

This is good news. My latest visit to airport was in summer of 2011 (terminal 2) and already then I recorded better service at check-in and shops than ever before. Previous arrogant behaviour wasn't there anymore. At tax-free they even warned me of possibility that at my next stop-over airport security staff may not accept the slivovica bottle, even if Belgrade sealed it in a plastic bag. I said I take the risk anyway. They were right and I lost the excellent Žuta Osa at Vienna airport.

Friendly and helpful beahaviour is the most important asset that airport staff can have. Where-ever you travel to or from, you sometimes face problems at airports. To be helped by staff is the best that can happen.

Belgrade Airport is small and that makes it "human."

It takes about 30-40 minutes for me to get off the plane, go through passport checks, collect my luggage and get into a taxi.

Public toilets in Serbia tend to be disgusting, but the airport toilets are always very clean as is the whole airport. I only wish there would be more no-smoking areas.

Come on, you all know my 100% pro-Serb stance for ages. But Surcin being 2nd in Europe in Service?? Give me a break. Last time i was there (usually i prefer traveling by car and feeling the beauty of the Serbian landscape and the warmth and spirit of the Serbian soul), they didn't even have WIFI (summer 2011). Also toilets were dirty, and even workers and employees forgot to flush the toilet once they were done, (some neglected to even close the door while taking a pee.
I thought that the Bus/Train station, was much better.

All said and done Belgrade airport is a pretty good one. However, the cafes are overpriced and close too early - somebody there is turning a huge profit.

But it is spacious and bright like a modern airport should. And so it should be as a regional hub airport.

"Hey Ardi,That's 2 more restaurants and 1 more Duty Free shop than the airport in Tirana.
(Robert1899, 3 March 2013 19:44)"

But Tirana Airport has the "Organ World" store and it's slogan is "Your new health quickly and freshly delivered and no questions asked".

No the joke if the day, and every day, is that Kosovo is a free, democratic, multiethnic state that can stand on it own, make its own laws and tell everyone else what to do.

What do you plan on doing with your prize money?

In principle its tru, the forgot only the word low, so ist the ranking aof "low service quality". And possibly Belgrades Airport is world-wide numer One. It is another nice example how the Serbina propaganda works like 50 years ago in Bulgaria or Romania. It is funny, but its bitter to read this and all the other stories, that Belgrade is just before the greatest victory ever in the talks in Brussels.
