..all you need to do to ensure that your children are not exposed to it is to do something else that day.
(Ned Taylor, 2 March 2013 17:36)

Well I don't want to do that.

I feel part of majority who do not want any change of their lifestyle or habits because of that, not a single day, that simple. It's not that I'm selfish and I do not have problem with gay people at all furthermore there's number of people I know and few friends of mine are gay. I consider them equal and normal as long they do not intrude sexually into my life and disturb my values in the home and country I live.

First of all they did not achieve any special God or anyhow given right to take over the streets not a single hour by the values of overwhelming number of Serbian population.

We're majority, we do not want it to happen and we want others to know and respect that.

I'll not exclude that parade will not happen on the streets of Belgrade in next decade but it will not happen now as there's huge number of people who don't want it to happen. I mean., is there a simplest explanation then this one? We don't want that parade.

Any forcing me to accept something I do not want will result in changing my attitude toward the element I consider source of that force, be it- anything.. All my life.

MasterZoran: Do the LGBT lobby show what they do to your kids? Surely if a gay parade is ever allowed in Belgrade all you need to do to ensure that your children are not exposed to it is to do something else that day.

Serbia isn't fit for EU membership so long as it uses violence (terrorism) to abuse minorities or to seek to prevent minorities from enjoying their free speech, protest, and assembly rights in their national capital. And they should have the rights to the same streets that Skinheads/Soccer Fans/Orthodoxers have.

No Parada Ponosa. No EU. No Schengen. Its that simple.
(Tom in Lazybrook, 1 March 2013 22:07)

Oh, you don't want to have it, that would be terrible. Please, don't make them have the same rights Orthodoxes do "have".

Here it pays to be a HIV-positive, in childhood sexually abused by parents, ethnically marginated gay Gypsy. That's the way to go. Orthodox (or Catholic or agnostic or whatever) engineer = underdog to be milked to death while being under permanent pressure regarding kid's tuition fees and own credit history. Totally uncool way of life.

Dear Tom,

Why is the american term 'Fag***' so well known around the world? Another great export of democracy? Gay militants damage and poison the movement and they don't care if it does.

It's almost 44 years since Stone Wall, and so much homophobia remains in the US. How is that possible?

@Tom Lazybrook,

Go spread your ____ elsewhere. The group in Serbia said what they want & you're just trying to spread your view like you think everyone should think.

You're just as bad as a feminist who isn't even happy when she gets what she wants.

Go marry your boyfriend in Berliln.

"They believe that it in realiy contributes to increased homophobia and animosity toward the LGBT population in Serbia." B92

So, it comes that homophobia was not that bad like LGBT always claimed, if it can increase in a first place.

Do we have other priorities to deal with those times?

Serbian people are tired of this "problem". LGBT can do what they do and stop persisting of showing it to our kids, that's all. There's no homophobia, if there's something- LGBT made it themselves.

We're different then other nations, we know and we're proud of that.

No Jelko Kacin, EU or LGBT can change that at this time.

The reason why the EU demands adherence to Gay Rights directives by Serbia is not just because of the demands of some Serbian Gays, but because of the impact of having nations in the EU that violate these directive. Lithuania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Romania would immediately start beating the tar out of their Gay population if the EU let Serbia join while they beat their Gay population into second class citizenship.

I find it instructive that this so called "representative of the LGBT population in Serbia" felt compelled to refer to the hideous climate of violence faced by the LGBT population in Serbia as a 'reason' to give up. I'm sorry but if you give in to violence, it only fosters more violence.
I get it. Since the Serbian Police Union and the Interior Ministry refuse to enforce the laws regarding rights of minorities (just like the police in Alabama in the 1950's), it makes the rationale for Parada Ponosa even more important to Serbia's candidacy. The EU cannot let terrorism win.

No Parada Ponosa. No EU. No Schengen. Its that simple.

It needs to be aggravated and will be aggravated.

This will not become a closed issue, and it will not be suppressed.

This is not just a matter of EU however; it is a matter of world-wide mind sets being successfully rubbished after years of bigotry.
