Interesting that the only judge of this tzv. "NATO court" who insisted on finding General Perišić guilty on appeal was: the judge from China.

Still think the BRICS are Serbia's BFF?

You base this question on 1 chinese judge? It says more about you than anything else.

The EU and NATO are at their lowest ebb now. Too many wars worldwide is costing them and their societies too much. They just cannot afford these phony courts anymore..The whole Clinton, Blair and Kohl administration should be put on trial for their part in the devastating wars in the former Yugoslavia. The generals were only doing what they were told to do..

NATO court is a joke. NATO is a joke.
(trizo, 28 February 2013 23:20)

Just a small correction.... If you are referring to the ICTY, that Court was proposed by Russia, approved by Russia and with judges elected by Russia. So it is a Russia Court.

Now, if somebody has told you that Russia is a member of NATO, you have been grossly misled :)

Good thing for Serbia that he was acquitted on both Bosnia and Croatia charges. It just proves that Serbia was not involved in any of these wars, officially. However, he was spying for Americans, that helped too. Only thing I liked about him that he had guts to go against Milosevic but it was replaced.

Momčilo Perišić is a CIA agent. No surprises here.
(Michael Thomas, 28 February 2013 17:27)

Bingo! Momcilo Perisic is a traitor, and has been working for the CIA since 1997.

This is all quite humorous, how the kangaroo court in the Hague releases their own man to try to show it is not anti-Serb, while Ivica Dacic, another traitor, claims this is some kind of great news!! Comedy, I say, comedy!! The war criminals in the Hague aren't fooling anyone, these show trials are pure theatre and nobody should recognize this sham - and certainly any Serb who recognizes this court is also stupid and a traitor.
Cheers!!

This court is an absolute JOKE.

They are releasing Croats, Albanians and Serbs, left right and centre!

They are doing this so they can find Seselj guilty and sentence him.

I've never heard of so many sentences being turned around to 0.

NATO court is a joke. NATO is a joke.

Of course this is just The Hague ruining Jeremic's party next month aka the Great Debate.

Exactly Ian, since this NATO court has done such an appalling job, who will believe its "neutrality"? Is it as neutral as you are regarding Serbia.

And you are correct, these crumbs are nothing but an attempt to clean up its bad image. It is just another political decision.

Anyway, nothing but confirmation coming from the BBC also. Check -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21621242

The BBC's Guy De Launey, in Belgrade, said that a twitch of an eye was all the response that Mr Perisic gave to the verdict.

Our correspondent adds that Mr Perisic's release might restore some faith in the tribunal's neutrality among people in Serbia.

Hello, Hague, could you guys get your crap together? Big difference between 27 years in jail, and freedom. I don't think I have ever seen this anywhere, in any court. Is there still someone out there that does not believe that the Hague court is not firstly, a political institution?

I have no idea whether the General should or shouldn't have been acquitted. What I do know is that it shows that the Hague Tribunal is totally corrupt. Someone is convicted for 27 years, no new evidence introduced, nothing, and now he is acquitted because there was "no evidence". People in Serbia should have less faith in the Hague than ever. The cynic would suggest that the acquittal is nothing more than a poor attempt to appear impartial following the Croatian generals release.
