@ARI

Every time you write it clearly shows how frustrated you are that path that Serbia has chosen. You know it very well that Kosova is not a disputed territory lol. When your Serbian PM met Thaci he didn't discuss it how disputable Kosova is, he is trying to normalize relations for the sake of an EU Membership. Now what you should do is wake up from the 90's and move on. Your statements are very amusing to all of us who are not stuck in the 1990's

...This is all that really matters, the UN seat. If the KLA do not get one, it is not a country-simple as that.
(Ari Gold, 26 February 2013 13:22)

Since Serbs mention that day and night, probably a UN seat matters so much for Serbia for reasons that God knows why... But anyway it's your and Serbia's business.

As far as Kosovo is concerned, the lack of UN membership does not represent a reason to go back under Serbia since, in the latter case, it would not have a UN membership anyway. With Kosovo being independent from Serbia, sure, the UN membership is still a long shot. But with Kosovo under Serbia it is no shot at all.

You're mad that's okay, vent it out baby. I agree, Serbia won't get in the EU but that's ok because regardless, the KLA won't get in the UN. Now the former is a failed organization that offers no benefit for a country like Serbia (but also Albania, and everyone else in the Balkans) and the latter is an organization that is considered a basic prerequisite to be considered a legitimate and sovereign nation.

I'll take the latter.
(Ari Gold, 26 February 2013 19:13)

UN seat I do not get all the fascination with UN. So what if no UN seat does not have anything to do with investment and even if they had it wont make a difference just relax. If Kosovo is part of Serbia then no UN Seat either so there is bigger chance and more chances to grow if you are independent and deal with countries have accepted you.

Why people in english version are more nationalist than the ones in Serbian version?

Life is short enjoy it wile you can and dont listen to politicians.

it will provide Belgrade with the start of EU membership talks and allow Priština to start talks on the SAA - "but no more than that".
--
So after these talks we move one step towards EU membership but the following step is blocked. So Serbia will get €1.5 billion in accession funds and Priština starts talks on the SAA.

So next we will get pressure on Priština from Greece, Cyprus, Slovakia, Spain and Romania to stop dreaming about independence.

Serbia, on the other hand, does not need to go any further. In this process, the EU will fund the modernisation of our laws and system. Together with Russian and Chinese investment, Serbia should come out as a modern country with reduced corruption, new infrastructure, the energy hub of the region, job opportunities, etc....soon it will truly be the powerhouse of the Balkans.

When it comes to the 5 renegade and bankrupt EU members, this would be correct, but aside from that the other 22 (soon 23) simply don't want unsolved issues within the union. Here, North Cyprus correlates with North Kosovo, but feel free to twist it as it satisfy you.
(John, 26 February 2013 15:11)

Cyprus has a UN seat just like Serbia. Northern Cyprus doesn't have a UN seat just like Kosovo.

North Kosovo will be autonomous in Kosovo and controlled by Serbia.

These "talks" (forced upon Kosova) will provide:

- to Serbia EU talks date = loads of €U funds and,
- to Kosova a carrot in Heshim Thaci's hands, to chew a bit.

With €U funds flow secured new elections in Serbia will bring in power Seseljs party and EU integration process and more importantly the cultural reform of the Serbian society will be not only stopped but put back to 1989 mentality.

we also know that Serbia is poor as well. Serbs are loving in miserable conditions lol, I forgot you don't live in Serbia otherwise you wouldn't make a fool out of yourself, which you usually do. That's just who u are lol. Secondly, Serbia is not going to become an EU member either. They know that, read the article again, it needs alot more time so Serbs get exhausted and will do anything to join EU. You're not in Serbia so you don't count lol. Keep your dreams alive wherever you are and that ain't Serbia.

I love these western diplomats coming for alegedly friendly countries of Kosova.

Firstly they delayed our declaration of independence from 1999 to 2008. Even in 2008 they were trying to delay it even further with that non-sense "standards before status".

Now they again say that Germany is "far too ambitious", and that 5 years after the declaration of independence* it is too soon to ask from Serbia to mind her own business and stop blocking Kosova's internatioanl affirmation.

*sorry I forgot my prefered word UNILATERAL declaration of independence... I have never heard of a bilateral or conditional declaration of independence... so I f** love the unilateral word

KOSO

OBVIOUSLY this dialogue will not pave the way for Kosovo's membership in un...pressure and reciprocal measures are the cure.

In the last fourteen years (14) the only external stimuli which has produced positive results in Beograd has been bombs; it seems you serbs understand that well.

Tung,

Funnily, they admit at the same time that Kosovo is like Northern Cyprus, i.e. a non-recognized pseudo state created by an ethnic minority.

'The diplomat added that Germany had "a far more ambitious agenda" than other countries, and especially compared to EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Catherine Ashton and her team - but that this agenda "cannot be achieved in the short term".'

This German agenda of stealing sovereign Serbian land and awarding it to their quisling organ snatching terrorist friends will never, and I repeat, never, be achieved. The reason? The Russian veto :) . Deal with THAT reality Adolf!!

"In the end, however, that questions will arise and here we have the determination that a 2nd Cyprus will not be tolerated, especially by Germany."
(John, 26 February 2013 13:35)

I'm a bit amazed that some people now finally realize that Serbia as an EU member would be like a 'second Cyprus'. Funnily, they admit at the same time that Kosovo is like Northern Cyprus, i.e. a non-recognized pseudo state created by an ethnic minority.

John

The report returns it correctly. The talks will not provide UN seat for Kosovo, just as it won't provide EU membership for Serbia. It is only about to solve the most recent points and establish meta-stable situation. In the end, however, that questions will arise and here we have the determination that a 2nd Cyprus will not be tolerated, especially by Germany.

See that, even Albanians know the truth. Or wait is Rocky going to tell us how its "Serbian propaganda"

...This is all that really matters, the UN seat. If the KLA do not get one, it is not a country-simple as that. Otherwise, you are a disputed territory which is heavily impoverished, dependent on assistance from the West AND dependent on Serbia's corrupt and treasonous leadership to meet with you.

So correct me if I'm wrong but, a territory with no UN seat-dependent on an outside force AND dependent on the state it claims not to be apart of..all the while being dirt poor is.......independent?

Strange. Must me more Hoxha logic.
