Italy: Left-wing coalition wins with narrow margin

A left-wing coalition led by Pier Luigi Bersani has won the most votes in elections for the lower house of the Italian parliament.

And this left coalition is against austerity and also tilting towards a referendum in support of withdrawal from Euro and return to Lira.The EU depends on countries doing what they are told. That has now been torn asunder by domestic politics in Italy.

My guess is if Italy goes ahead with the referendum (sleepless nights for Merkel) the Euro project will be over. It will be a beautiful day to watch the EU project burn and those EU conspirators taken to the tower bridge.
