Wow, keeping a man behind bars for 10 years without a decision, simply because he thumbed his nose at the NATO war criminals and had the guts to tell the truth about the scoundrels that they are!! Unbelievable. They talk about 'human rights' and keep someone locked up for 10 years. So the Hague releases Naser Oric, who proudly showed video evidence of his war crimes to western reporters, they release Gotovina even though Krajina was completely cleansed of Serbs, and thousands of elderly were mutilated under his command. Anyone who tells me that this anti-Serb NATO run kangaroo court, these show trials, are legitimate, is frankly very obtuse, and a complete idiot. And thank you Dr. Seselj for highlighting to the whole world what a farce the Hague is, a court run by war criminals, whose sole purpose is to turn the victims into aggressors, and the real war criminals into innocents.

Wow, 10 years just to hear the prosecution case and we still don't have a ruling? Funny how some attempt to blame Seselj for the delays when he decided not to even put up a defense. If he wanted to delay this case he would have called hundreds of witnesses. Regardless of the outcome, he has single handedly demonstrated to practically most Serbs the nature of this political farce.

I love Seselj as much as the next sensible Serb, but I am disappointed by the contempt cases. He's usually pretty clever, but he totally dropped the proverbial ball when allowing himself to get tangled up in these little messes. Two convictions for contempt so far and likely a third on the way (the B92 story omitted that ugly little detail). Those convictions alone stack up to about 5 years. And it would only be fair to remind everyone reading this that Seselj has had lots of health issues, has held up legal proceedings over demands for cost reimbursement and so on and so forth. So when you drill down to the facts of this saga you do see where he shares a good part, maybe even most, of the blame. But I'm still pulling for him to prove his innocence of the wartime charges, at least, some of which could be tough to fight. Still, even if he would be somewhat guilty, time already served should be punishment enough.

So far an innocent man has spent 10 years locked up. Unless he is found guilty he is innocent and justice delayed is justice denied.

Seselj is to blame for the duration of this trial for his refusal to co-operate with the Court, sharing Court restricted information outside of the Court (with protected witnesses), hunger strikes, witness intimidation and so on ect. He has even openly stated that he wants "to make a mockery" of his trial, which means he purposely wants this trial to last as long as it can. He is a very smart guy for making this trial last so long as he is attempting to make the court look in the wrong and not him. He wants public opinion to change of his trial. And of course Serbia's political elite are happy for him to be locked up far away from Serbia. Nikolic and Vucic don't want Seselj and the SRS taking votes away from them and the SNS. After all the SNS are a family friendly populist version of the SRS.

If an Albanian was locked up for such a long period but still on trial I wouldn't see anything wrong with it as he'd also most likely be wasting the court's time.
