Serbia must look after its people, especially those that came from Kosovo after '99 and those that still live in Kosovo and make them feel like home and not give them status of "temporary immigrant" in their own country.

Koso, I believe that Serbia recognizes all its neighbors. They do not recognize an independent KiM, is that what you mean? As for parallel institutions, who's are parallel, Pristina's or Belgrade's? It's a matter of which side of the fence you are looking from. As for the date, I agree with you. Serbia is no where close to being EU material. With the wide spread corruption, cronyism, in the government, and outside, it must clean up its own yard first before asking to go into another. Just look at this milk scandal now..

The answer to your question is neither. The parallel structures are certainly not Pristinas', they are however sponsored by Belgrade; to make my case, even though Belgrade funds them they do run counter to Belgrade's wishes on occasions. The issue with this part of Kosovo is that it is neither integrated into our society nor Serbias' and rule of law is non-existent -- twenty bombings within the last thirty days, that's abnormal.

My point about Belgrade not being "EU material" (as you call it) has to do with socio-economic standing and political maturity of Belgrade's elites --- your argument about cronyism, corruption, etc are abundant in Pristina, Brussels, Moscow, Washington, etc.

Your point about the milk scandal is funny...what about horse meat, pink slime, expired food, etc?

As for the date, it doеsen't matter whether Serbia get it in March, April or the end of the year. The important thing is to see the progress of the current government and that it was observed. To be honest, none of the previous governments failed to come this far, at least to keep the attention of Berlin and to achieve good communication.

Serbia can't really recognize Kosovo in a concrete way until it's removed from the Serbian constitution. Its unlikely but What if some kind of nationalists or patriots came to power and tried to enforce the constitution. So that issue must be raised. But with everything else Serbia is recognizing Kosovo independence in all ways and is very aggressive in abolishing all Belgrade connections to Kosovo Serbs. Like the customs guard and customs and abolishing the Kosovo ministry etc.

I call it a scandal, because the government knew that animal corn feed was tainted, yet sat on their hands until they were forced to act. That is not the way things are done in a civilized society. Serbia has a lot more issues than Kosovo, I am afraid, and more important than the Kosovo/Albanian issue.

Incorrect. You are about two years from getting such a date. I can't imagine for what reason would EU decide to turn its cheek. You need to dismantle parallel structures, remove your secret police, stop obstructing and recognize all your neighbors (Bosnia, Rep of Macedonia, Kosovo) and then you will be a EU member.

Serb association? What would that mean? Blocking the functining of Kosovo state? Have its ownarmy, police, judicial system, .....and at a latter date....joining Serbia. In return Serbia does not have to formally recognize Kosovo independence.....So what are Albanians doing in these talks?
