What I find hilarious is that the international community basically got both sides to agree to the same thing but allow them to call it different names.
(Balkan Anthropologist, 15 February 2013 16:59)

Exactly, and that was possible to achieve because Serbs only care about the labeling and Albanians only about the substance - that's why both sides can achieve their goals with such a solution.

Then ask how is your Albanian rabble going to support themselves? LOL.
(sj, 15 February 2013 11:21)

Certainly not by joining a failed state like Serbia which cannot even support itself, let alone a Serbia+Kosovo

I guess this is a really sad day for serb nationalists because even Nikolic and Dacic are surely giving up on the nationalist ideas. I guess the west is threatening to stop to give money to Serbia so therefore Serbia doesnt have money to pay people's salaries. And of course Russia is just empty words and would never give money to Serbia.
(Montenegrin, 15 February 2013 15:22)

They are not giving up anything, they are just a little bit smarter than Tadic was and they speak what the EU wants to hear. There will be another story after the EU talks begin mark my words. And about Russia, only the last 3 years the russian state have given more than 3 billion dollars in loans and the pipeline will go through Serbia remember? So not only empty words there, but thats what you wish for. Last but not least you are "montenegrin"as much as Im chinese. Real montenegrins are serbs like Petar Petrovjc Njegos.

What I find hilarious is that the international community basically got both sides to agree to the same thing but allow them to call it different names. Thaci just gave up on any control over the north and Nikolic is now saying that the north and other municipalities can be run like RS. Thaci gets to believe everything operates in a "unified" Kosovo and Serbs get the opportunity to run everything completely separate and, yes, "parallel" from "Kosova" since what exists now is on its way to being recognized as legitimate by the international community. If some think this is a concession by Serbia to "give up" Kosovo, it's largely a symbolic concession. The biggest "loser" here is Pristina who may very well have to accept a number of autonomous cantons in places it's been saying is under its control for years. So much for "ruling out autonomy" and "special status" for the north if this goes through.

And yet the usual suspects from the Albanian cyber diaspora only care about Serbia somehow recognizing a now greatly weakened state or blaming some impasse on the same old Serbian "tactics" from the Milosevic period (you're hilarious Willi. Clueless but hilarious). I almost have to applaud their fixation on irrelevant and outdated information since it seems to make Belgrade's new position far far easier to push :)

Well it looks like Serbia is already put to a dead end from Politicians like Nikolic and Dacic. At least when Tadic was in power he was able to postpone such hard decisions, but now it looks like its time for Nikolic and Dacic to make the decision to stop helping the parallel institutions of Serbia in Kosovo.
Nikolic can portray this anyway he wants to but basically it looks like these parallel institutions in northern Kosovo will soon start to report to Pristina.
Its also interesting to see that even Nikolic is calling them parallel institutions.

Oh, enough already. Albanians in majority Shiptar areas govern yourselves. In the Serb dominant areas allow the Serbs the same. What is it with this daily back and forth about a small piece of land? Serbs want nothing to do with Albanians, do not recognize their UDI, just as the Albanians rejected serb authority. Lets move on, their are a lot more serious issues that face the people that live there, besides this ridiculous politics from Pristina and BG alike.

OK, so Serbs run their own institutions in the north and that should also filter down to the south, officially under the umbrella of Pristina but with links to Serbia. I'll stay on the sidelines here but I can see enough loopholes to keep those institutions Serbian.

So this is the plan to give Serbia a date for talks, which should free up €1.5 billion in accession funds. Also, this process will be bogged down for years. Who knows where the EU and the world will go. China and Russia will be in a much stronger position than they are now.

Keep on dreaming because that’s all you have left these days. Oh how is Pristina’s efforts to entice industry to relocate from Chicago to Kosovo going? Any luck? Then ask how is your Albanian rabble going to support themselves? LOL.

It is more than easy to understand Albanians (note I did not use word Siptari). They came from Albania, took what was not theirs for taking, and now it gets very tough when it comes to giving back.
But, they have to understand that the state Serbia (unfortunately for them) still does exist. And that Kosovo is still an integral part of Serbia.

Same old Nicoloc BS and nothing new. Serbia will not get a date if it continues like that, well, doesn't deserve to get a date, because all it does is putting up smokescreens, and doesn't change any of its wrong attitudes, and continues with the same old Mantras. That man will lead Serbia into a dead end street.

Milli

Mr. Nikolic is completely right. He is not the one who is to divide Kosovo. Everything should be done according to the Constitution as well as the Resolution.

Are you suggesting that Albanians or democratic party will lead Serbia in the better future? Who are you kidding, you have brought Serbia into this position. You and your lords from democratic party.

Brian

Obviously he is talking about abolishing all ties between Belgrade and Kosovo Serbs and is totally about recognizing kosovo independence just not using those words. This proposal is very close to saying Kosovo will be removed from the Serbian constitution because he is talking about totally abolishing all Belgrade contact with Kosovo Serbs.
