It is very good news if IKEA is opening their store in Serbia. IKEA is not only selling furniture, it is also producing them. So domestic Serbian firm can use this opportunity to come as subcontractors of IKEA and not only for Serbia but internationally too. I hope that Serbian entrepreneurs take this challenge.

whoop-dee-doo... The sad thing is that although Ikea is supposed to be an inexpensive alternative to "regular" furniture, after import tarrifs and a whopping 20% VAT, plus mark-up, it will most likely be some of the most expensive in Serbia.

Hey, Vucic, how about some domestic factories, like the ones we use to have, before the government privatized them all for pennies on the dollar to Serbian so-called "businessmen, and the political mafias pocketed the proceeds? You have sold everything off, or given away, so that the only things that are left domestic is the piac (open market), and they may go soon.
