The only reasons the Slovenes are protesting is because they got short changed. Milan Kucan promised them paradise if they left Yugoslavia and while the EU propped them up and the Slovenes spent their share of the breakup of Yugoslavia life wasn’t bad.
Now that the money has run out they are unhappy. Industry is either leaving Slovenia or closing which only means unemployment and fear of worst to come. Never in close to 70 years have the Slovenes experienced anything like this. At most demos now they are demanding an explanation from their politicians where is that better living standards they were promised if they left Yugoslavia. Milan Kucan now lives in Germany.
See how easy it is to fool people. And it was these same people who boasted with the Croats how they subsided Serbia.
I hope Bam Bam and Leanrd are watching the situation in Slovenia because Croatia is next.

Winston's comment leaves me wondering what is he suggesting? More violence on the streets of Belgrade? Civil war? By eck you don't know anything about the psyche of the people there!! They have had enough of war, politics, greedy criminals and frankly just want a quiet life even if that means being surrounded by this deritus of humanity which calls itself a government. They are all the same you'd have to commit political genocide to remove all the bad apples and as we know the Serbian people are not like that regardless of what the Western media and the puppets at the Hague would have you believe.Suffering in silence is a cultural weakness of ours but it kind of has an inner strength to it which I find beautiful.Let the bastards get on with it God will be their judge.

He stressed that they should stand up to the “leftist fascism” - Jansa. Boy, these politicians sure love throwing these political terms around. Left fascism, what the hell does that mean. That the protestors want Nazi's to rule? In any case, it is good to see the Slovenians taking some form of action with their displeasure of government, unlike Serbia, where a political mafia/businessmen/judiciary/police/mafia/etc., have taken the country hostage, and there is not one peep from the people, just complaints and grumbling.
