Oh, some Kosovo Albanians have a lot to learn. So 'freedom of speech' includes sending threats? According to the article, not only by the usual extremist, but by the 'municipal leadership'? Unbelievable in the world, normal in the independent dream state of Kosovo.

--- The keyword here is "According to the article". This article was written from a Serb on a Serb media that is certainly not known for impartiality and professional reporting. As such it is self serving for the Serb who wrote the article to portray Albanians in a negative light when they protest while portraying Serbs as "businessmen" when they throw grenades, Molotov bombs and block access to roads which are used by all of the communities. Well thought out propaganda, and like in the 90' s the Serbs are buying it.

Sorry. I didn't properly read the article, just the headline.

so, basically, nothing happened. There was going to be a protest and they stopped it.

Serbian leadership could benefit from reading "the boy who cried wolf"

"Aleksandar Vulin says threats and protests in front of the Serb medieval monastery Visoki Dečani were an attempt to complete the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo."

Well, Kosovo is not Serbia where people are not allowed to protest. The important thing is that Kosovo's Supreme Court upheld the rule of law and the right to the property. If some people are unhappy about that, they are free to protest like their fellow citizens in North Kosovo. Not sure why Vulin thinks that the former are second class citizens and have less rights to protest than the latter.

They're attacking the one monastery most sympathetic (or at least neutral) to Kosovo independence
(Danilo, 9 February 2013 07:49)

How is protesting about 23 hectares of land equivalent to "attacking"?

And do you have any evidence about the second claim?

KOSO,
So you are saying that these "protesters" would not of burnt the monastary down if the peacekeepers werent there? Yea right! You guys dont know how to peacefully protest.
(Detroit_SERB, 8 February 2013 23:24)

Detroit_SERB, some were burnt once in 2004, even though they were "guarded" by KFOR. We can burn them over and over again if we wanted to. But we do not want to, since they belong to Kosovo.

Also, don't tell us if we know or not know about peaceful protests. B***h please! We protested peacefully against your regime from 1987 until 1999, but it didn't work with you. It took bombing for your repression machines to back down.

If he so concerned why does he live in belgrade, and not in Kosovo.
I love all these 'patriots' that are talk a big game from Serbia, but they'd never in a million years would dare live in Kosovo and preach their truth there.

Congradulation to the Italian Carabinieri for googd job.
Reason for that is: Old Roman educated Sicilian albos to not be destructive. This 20 or more Blakan albos must visit Sirakuze to see nice George Maniakes Castle, old same as Visoki Decani.

They've been burning and desecrating our churches since the 80s and they won't stop until they get a pure ethnic Albanian state.

Horrible.

Also I'd like to point out that the assembly of the people to show discontent (aka protest) is a right...it's called freedom of speech.

"Freedom of speach"

KOSO

You wouldn't know what freedom of speach was even if it hit you in the head. You are saying that hostile albanians gathering infront of a monestery, chanting anti serb slogans aimed at 4 monks is freedom of speach? That is terror! If you want to take a stand do so in Pristina. If the west and even your own police thought these were peaceful protests we wouldn't need Kfor soilders to protect a church with 4 monks.

The Veil Slips

pre 11 godina

The west has to protect the monastery because if the albanians get at it, there will be no way to deny their master plan to remove every single serb, other minority or sympathetic albanian from Kosovo. The lie that 'Kosova' is a multi-ethnic paradise would finally be crushed around the world.

It's a good thing it wasn't german KFOR troops. Health and safety would have stopped them from holding back the rabble.

Why don't you keep your mouth shut and worry more about those "businessmen" with their road blocks, bombing embassies / custom borders, etc.

Thanks hun.

This sentence alone gives you an idea to what Kosovo under foreign rule has become. A haven for criminals, terrorists and savegry! Bravo Europe, bravo! You should be so proud of your monster creation.
