"with possible additional funds from the state, we would arrive at a figure necessary for the public service of this size and responsibility to work and survive." That is the biggest problem, your size RTS. Everyone in Serbia knows you are bloated with employees beyond belief. Workers that obtained their positions through nepotism, connections, personal favors, etc. Cut your workforce in half, and cut your hours of broadcasting. Besides a decent news program, all of the rest of the programs aired are pure junk. Lots of fluff, and 20 year old movies shown over and over again. Why does it never occur to these owned and operated companies, that they must cut back? Every privately owned company in the world does this when the finances get tough. Personally, I would like to see this broadcaster shut down. This was a TV station created by Milosevic's wife, to spread communist party propaganda, at the expense of the Serbian citizens, both by paying for it, and having to listen to that leftist junk. Still today, they broadcast parliament sessions, where we get to listen to wise old political sages like Ilic, Mrkonjic, Palma, and the rest of the fossils collecting political dust, at the expense of the taxpayers.
