Yes just like I and a few others were delusional about South stream going through Serbia. Yes I recall Nabucco being Croatia’s answer to it all and how your croat leadership laughed at Moscow, but now begging the same people for gas.

Everyone might note here that its fine for Croatia, the Albos and everyone else pissing of Serbia because it what these clowns have been used to but Serbia must play by the rules. You might also note that Serbs can be attacked in Croatia but Serbia must stand by. MY God have you a lot to learn in this new world order mate.

You really are that dumb. Look at Poland and Ukraine and read up what happens when you don’t jump when your told. You see Serbia can shut off the gas to Croatia and continue to pay Gazprom what it owes thus receiving less income, but in the meantime Croat industry goes boom – that’s how its done.

Even your Ustasha loving Jospiovic is beginning to panic as nothing has gone to plan since Gotvina arrived – nothing at all. In fact the EU countries are all looking at Croatia as a fascist state and some even talking about breaking it up because its so diseased in fascism that there is no cure. Yes Serbia is so worried to piss off Croatia; all 3.7 million Croats.

sj really does take the delusional cake.

How can anyone even imagine a world where it's ok for investors that the local help shuts everything down for the customers?

Imagine for a second that Serbia COULD turn off the gas to piss off its neighbours. Boy, investors would sure flock to Serbia after that. It's kind of like the doorman deciding all of a sudden, on his own, that he's not going to let customers in the door just because.

Yes Christopher Hitchens that pommie Republican’s arse wipe who could stop himself falling over groveling to the US extreme right and praising how righteous it was to invade Afghanistan and Iraq except when the US lost the war in Iraq and looked like doing the same in Afghanistan he back peddled with all his might to try and cleanse himself of any association with the people that he once praised.
Of course the Serbs will lose a lot of sleep at what Hitchens had to say.
Yes you certainly picked the right journalist to support your case.

Maybe for the same reason your brethren the Croatians of Serbia are not crossing the Danube and coming home.
They are at home already.
They have been at home for a very long time until your lot ethnically cleansed them without any consequences to yourselves.

sj you like to portray Serbia and Serbs as a power house but the truth is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vukovar very far different. When Serbs stop with delusions and see how they are seen by the world and indisputable facts. Then Serbia has a chance to go forward make progress until then it is on trajectory downwards let by a very self serving incompetent Serb leadership. The blind leading the blind watch for the cliffs oops.

It’s easy to take over Krajina when there were only local defenders here and there after JNA withdrew and if the Serbs wanted to take Vukovar they would have leveled it in 3 days and no one left alive but they had to play politics with the EU.
Keep telling yourself how the mighty Croats defeated the Serbs LOL LOL just like the Croats freed themselves from the Austrians in 1914.

Encyclopedia eh? Put this one in that ream of toilet paper to give it some semblance of knowledgeable work. Vukovar a town that was used by an army of Croatian paramilitaries to defend themselves and not vice versa. Upon entry into SR Croatia by the JNA from Sid to relieve the besieged barracks (manned by 18 year old conscripts), the Croats were heavily routed bolted to the city for protection. When Arkans Tigers came in and flushed em out mano vs. mano, they jumped into hospital beds leaving full bottles of JD behind. As for sending tanks without infantry into urban environments that victory belongs to the inept politicians and inexperienced officer confusion in the JNA then to any Croat/BND/Mercenary heroism.

Krajina, the UN had all the Serb heavy weapons locked up under the ceasefire conditions and Croats attacked over UNPROFOR ceasefire lines whilst feigning in peace negotiations, (an inherent German policy used against Russia in WW2). Couple that with Nato bombing choke points, US jamming Serb coms, illegal German military aid and the souping up of Croat soldiers with illegal substances to give em an edge over whatever 80 year olds were left and voila you have a great victory LtCol Friedmann.

Ha ha ... the late Christopher Hitchens (who is much more of an astute observer when compared with the hilarious links that have been provided here lol) wrote quite beautifully about the consensus view of (let alone those who have the poor fortune of having to be in the same neighborhood) Serbs. And I quote:

"And then it turned out that the Serbian gunmen were not "crack" forces or "elite" troops at all, but a sordid militia with an unbroken record of victory against civilians."

"The monstrous character of Mladic and his movement needed no exaggeration. To this day, a lot of people do not understand how much misery and chaos and suffering it purposely inflicted. But the monstrous nature of his power and reach was paradoxically and enormously exaggerated-not by those who wanted to confront it, but by those who did not!" [end quotes]

Need I say more!? I can surely provide more telling quotes from "important" Serbs (as I anticipate ad hominen-type attacks) which would serve to counter this same level of modest opinion-speak. Unfortunately for the (very) average point(s) of view expressed here, it will hurt your "philosophical" foundation quite a bit haha ... shall I nevertheless proceed to post them regardless??

There were 19 ceasefires in the few months Vukovar battles. The UN and "international community" would repeatedly pressure the Yugoslav forces to desist when they were winning.

And, obediently, the Yugoslav/Serb soldiers would to back to their barracks.
This would allow the Croats to regroup, bring in more soldiers, paramilitary and mercenaries and start attacking civilians again. Then they'd attack the military areas and the soldiers would come out, make quick work of them, and the UN would call a halt to it.

In a way it was a little bit like what happened in the skirmished in northern Macedonia. When the Albanian militants attacked the Macedonian civilians and initiated attacks against the police and military, the "international community" was quiet. But when the Macedonian forces turned the tide and started winning, the "international community" and western spokesmen would threaten them to stop.

Even in Macedonia the U.S. special forces and buses were used to safely extract the ANA/KLA when they were surrounded by Macedonian forces. I believe it was in Aracinovo (sp?).

In Vukovar, the Croatian government bundled their sadistic killer, Tomislav Mercep, who started the violence, out when it "fell" out of control of the Croat forces.

It so sad to read these comments on here!!!

Anyone who is bringing up the gas and pipeline situation does not know the facts. Gazprom was just in Croatia negotiating with the government. They are going to invest a billion euro's to build gas-fired power plants in Croatia, so they can export electricity to EU markets since Croatia will be in the EU come July. They plan to take advantage of the subsidy's that are going to be offered to Croatia through to 2020 as being apart of the EU. Gazprom is also interested in buying INA (Croatian Oil Company). There will also be an LNG terminal off the Croatia coast where we will get gas from Qatar that will link up to the to the LNG terminal in Poland too so we can diversify our gas resources.

So, Serbia turning off to the gas to Croatia? Utter nonsense. Russia will now have its own interests in Croatia that it needs to take care of. Russia is the boss not Serbia. Sorry.

try it!

All I can say is try it, just like Ukraine thought they controlled it and suddenly their price for gas increased 4 fold.
Remember before Russia even finalized the southstream project they bought controlling interest in Serbia gas. 51% they control all gas and decisions running through Serbia not a single Serbian can touch the button without permission.
There many other countries that the pipeline runs through but it is only Serbs that think they have some magical control.

It too the Croatian Army to take the Krajina Region in Oluja which was a land mass of 10,400km2 in 72hours against Serb soldiers that numbers were greater than the defenders in Vukovar & the Krajina force was way more better equipt than the Vukovar defenders.

The Russians are only interested in loyalty and if Belgrade is loyal then it can do what ever it likes simply because it’s the main hub for gas in the Balkans. The main pipe goes through Serbia then branch lines go to RS, Macedonia and Croatia. You may have a memory lapse to the affect that your Croat leadership refused to negotiate with Gasprom about the pipe going through Croatia so now it goes to Hungary then Slovenia – watch the price of gas in Austria when the next contract is due for negotiations, simply because the Austrian refused to allow the pipe to go through that country.

You guys really have no idea what is coming up next. Serbia will screw Croatia to the ground and if it tries one of its tricks turn the gas off and watch what little economy is left crack like a piece of glass. The world is changing and the money is no longer in the west but east and the Catholic Church cannot help you anymore.

Croatia has its own gas reserves smarty pants, second only to Russia in size, and a large oil deposit was just discovered! That's the main reason we will enter the EU! The pipeline in Croatia, however, is being built for a natural gas depot in Rijeka. The natural gas is not intended for Croats. It's going to be exported via ships. Serbia turning it off will not be an option.

Hate crimes have no place in the EU and should be punished more severely.
Unless the police act and apprehend the people who did this, EU should ask why they didn't.
You have to reach European standards in law and order before you can be admitted. Hate crimes must not be ignored.
This is so obviously a hate crime.

Sorry.

Ha ha ... the late Christopher Hitchens (who is much more of an astute observer when compared with the hilarious links that have been provided here lol) wrote quite beautifully about the consensus view of (let alone those who have the poor fortune of having to be in the same neighborhood) Serbs.

Yes just like I and a few others were delusional about South stream going through Serbia. Yes I recall Nabucco being Croatia’s answer to it all and how your croat leadership laughed at Moscow, but now begging the same people for gas.

Ha ha...the Serbs ran away quite hastily in advance of Operation Storm. Yes, in other words, as soon as the Croats were ready for a fight, the Serbs (i.e. Milosevic and his illustrious "leadership") told the brave Serbs to run for their lives --- which of course they did unashamedly (including whatever rag-tag armed units were left for fighting. And it's hilarious that the Serbs still claim ethnic cleansing as some Croat conspiracy when in fact your comment clearly PROVES otherwise!

Then again, what is most telling about the Croat's bravery is that they stood their ground in Vukovar for 3 MONTHS with next to no weaponry, while the fearless Chetnik units kept a safe distance by using anti-aircraft guns to shell the town to bits. And now they want to live in Croatia despite their failure to ethnically cleanse the Croats!

Is it any wonder that the Serb has not a friend in this part of Europe...

Regardless of what the Croats think Cyrillic is coming not only because of EU standards but because of energy.

As I said before the Croats when talking about Oljua or Vukovar are like guys who have been on a fishing or hunting trip. Its gets better with the telling every time – yeah the fish was huge or why the deer was the size of a bear.
