Of course, if you can take something for free the support is always big. If you have to fulfill obligations then the support drops? Oha, then you better stay outside. We don't need people who just take, take and take. This is a two-way road.

What did we get for free? Just never ending blackmails, blackmails and blackmails... Nobody has objections on any reasonable obligation.

It's obvious for the Serbian citizens that the EU is not status neutral - Germany's officials have been quite open on what Serbia's conditions on EU accession will be and if Serbia's politicians were unsure of the UK stance they need only read the following Lords of UK parliament debates in response to question over withholding Serbia's accession negotiations till conditions are met;

"I can inform the right reverend Prelate that the UK is not asking Serbia to recognise Kosovo at this stage but we are making it clear that the future of Serbia and Kosovo lie in the European Union, as independent states, and that Serbia must accommodate itself to this reality before it joins the EU. Neither should be able to block the other's path to the EU. As the right reverend Prelate will be aware, the accession discussions with Croatia were much tougher than those on previous accessions, and we will ensure that any future country wishing to be part of the EU family satisfies those very stringent preconditions."

- not yet but we will!

So this is the plan play the EU game till June after which if candidate status granted take the aid deserved with no intention of ever becoming a member or we don't get candidate status and that's fine too Serbia can get on with it's own course confident in the knowledge that it stands to its principled position while the EU has lied beyond belief.

Either way EU membership is a non-starter!

It is not fair to the Serbian people to do these reforms dictated by the EU which the majority do not wish to even be in, and which have shown to have no net positive effect on Serbia these last several years.
