winston and marKo,

Do either of you drive in Belgrade?

If you do, then you will be fully aware that there are far too many idiot drivers on the road who think they can do what they want, when they want. No respect for the law or other road users. They normally drive expensive vehicles and often have tinted windows. They act ion this way because they think they are above the law and cannot be touched. They have money and / or connections that, if caught doing something wrong, will get them off without punishment.

Saša Pejović is a serving police officer and was employed as the driver of the traffic police chief. At the time he was driving a MUP registered official vehicle.

He had / has the mentality that he can do anything and is untouchable. This attitude makes him a menace and a severe danger on the roads. He should be punished for this offense by firing him from his job and having is driving license taken away permanently.

If the personal driver of the traffic police chief cannot be bothered to keep to the rules, why should anybody else?

Winston, I have to agree with most of what you said. Only I don't blame the president for this. This was a police failure. This guy should have been arrested, questioned and his motives should have been ascertained. Maybe a fat ticket, but jail time? come on, police incompetence allowed this. Someone from the security forces should be fired. If someone tried that in the west they would be run off the road far far away from an official motorcade. I am mad that it seems that the interior ministry is protecting the cops and the expense of this boneheads rights. I hope the courts throw this out.

Are you kidding me, this guy is guilty of cutting into Nikolic's motorcade, what a joke. Who does Nikolic think he is, some king or something? If it was up to me, I'd give Toma a BusPlus public transportation card, and send him on his way. He deserves nothing better. What incredible wasting of money these self-important politicians do, especially in a society that cannot afford it. Tell me that politics is not about privilege and power.
