I only wish that Serbia gets decent politicians who are actually going to listen to people (whom they represent) instead of dictating to people.
There is no democracy any more anywhere if there ever was.
(Peggy, 25 January 2013 14:27)

I agree... They should grant to the 2% of the electorate in North Kosovo 50 votes per person so that democracy can finally triumph in Serbia, otherwise that 2% of the electorate will never be able to force the government of the other 98% to do what the 2% wants.

Congratulations

"When will serbs learn that they lost Kosovo. Since Kosovo declared independence only kosovo has made progress."
(Eric, 25 January 2013 03:45)

Correct! Significant progress! The indpendent Kosovo under Thaci managed to become Europe's main drug distribution hub.

Serbia should stay independent of the EU and it will have more flexibility in deals with non-EU countries.

I am very surprised that England is going to have a referendum on opting out of EU.
Countries want to get out and here is Serbia willing to sell their own soul to get in.

"Which also means that Serbia should not ask Russian and Chinese assistance to block Kosovo's UN membership. Which also means Serbia in EU only when Kosovo in UN."
(Mark, 24 January 2013 22:52)

Oh, you are another person who didn't interpret well. It's clear that UN membership of Kosovo and EU membership of Serbia has no connection at all. And about Serbia 'asking' China and Russia: Why should they 'ask' them? These two countries (and dozens of others, mostly countries which have ethnic minorities themselves, including 5 EU countries) clearly said that they won't support self-proclaimed countries created by an ethnic minority on the soil of a recognized state.

Serbia is foolish to want to be in the anti-Serb German-run EU and to do its dictates. Over 50% of Serbs don't even want to be in the EU, yet the government only looks at one choice. Serbia should look to independent Switzerland which doesn't seem to have problems dealing with the EU or its economy despite not being in the EU.

When USA created state if Israel did not do it without reason. Same USA created state of Kosovo and not without reason. Do you think that this super power state like USA has made wrong choice. I don't think so because they support this state very strong.

This takes time and in the future you will see super power Kosovo like Israel.

Pls say it ain't so!!!

But guess what? We are used to you folk, nothing will surprise us! That’s why we are ahead of the game Slick….

Keep up with your jokes, I like them.

"German ambassador was not interpreted well"

Was the ambassador speaking in Serbian or German? If it's German, then I would imagine he was interpreted quite well.

Just admit it, you're hanging onto some illusion of a "southern province". Ain't nobody got time for that.

A Serbian government deputy PM has said that "a chair for Kosovo" in the UN "is not a condition for Serbia's continued EU integration. True. Although there is a certain chair that may be appropriate for some members of Pristina's government. Hope the electricity is working that day.

No it is not.But good neighborly relation is a condition. Which means that in order for Serbia to be considered a good neighbor it should not put any obstacles in Kosovo"s way.Which also means that Serbia should not ask Russian and Chinese assistance to block Kosovo's UN membership. Which also means Serbia in EU only when Kosovo in UN.Now go ask Dacic why did he bring the subject of Kosovo's UN seat, which the German ambassador is merely commenting on it.

Brian

pre 11 godina

Dacic is talking about the UN seat because of his strident support of Kosovo independence. It doesn't have to be a condition really because Serbia supports the in seat and Kosovo independence now/
