Well then, start acting like civilized human beings. Do something other than have 10 kids and hate everyone and everything around you. Get a job and be productive instead of expecting someone else to give you another hand out and then threaten to riot when you don't get your way. Try reading books instead of rewriting them. Try acting like the people you think you are instead of the angry mob the rest see you as. Realize the world neither revolves around you nor owes you anything special because you think you've been victimized for centuries. Learn to live with others and tolerate others instead of harassing them at every possible moment based on whatever stupid grudge you carry of your own making. Once you fix your own problems, we'll be waiting for you at the table to talk.
(Q, 23 January 2013 17:08)
I am confused, I thought you were responding to Albanians but your response hits the nail on the head for Serbs, except the 10 kids and that really does not fit either. Albanians have a higher birth rate but does not approach 10 by any means.
The whole 3 years I was in Kosovo met many Albanian families and several with 4-5 kids, many with less, and 1 with 10 children who were all grown.

another thread turned into the origin of Albanians. you know what, I don't care where Albanians come from. it could be proven to me beyond any reasonable doubt that we come from South Africa, and my political position on Kosova would not change. for what its worth though Leonidas, the Albanian language is a classified Indo-European one, but in its own branch. This means its not Slavic, Latin, Greek or Turkic (hence it can't be Asian). if you think linguists are wrong, do the following, study Albanian and publish your own scholarly work and show where they are wrong. its really very easy. i will also say this, i have never studied Arvanite, i have heard it and have zero trouble understanding it. so we either took the language from them or they from us. there is also a distinct ethnic group in Italy called Arberesh, who's language I understand with ease.
as for links between greeks and albanians, only the biggest of all dimwits would suggest that none exist. i venture many people in Northern Greece and Southern Albania would have both and Albanian heritage. i would also argue that 1/10000 people in the Balkans would have Turkish blood in them. you do not get ruled by the Ottoman scimitar for 500 years and not have it leave an imprint. only the most extreme and frankly racist person would want to suggest that a particular area is pure

No Dori.Today's Greeks landed from a spaceship 190 years ago.The same spaceship took away all the ancient Greeks and their descendants and that is how they disappeared.

Cheap Albanian propaganda -almost identical applied by Gruevski and Fyrom.Greeks are probably the only modern nation in the Balkans that can show a historical connection through the ancient Greek-Roman and Byzantine periods unlike the Albanians that cannot provide any proof of connection with Illyrians or any other ancient entity.Having said this, wake up and smell the coffee. You're Albanians with a Turkish Islamist connection originating from Caucasus. This is a fact not a fiction. The only common element between Greeks and Albanians are the borders, nothing else.

Leonidas I can’t help you for dinosaurs, but I can help you to solve how the Hellenic people disappear and how the hybrid race of Greek of today emerged, if you are interested. I personally don’t hate that hybrid, because I can’t hate my blood (Arvanitas one) that is important component of hybrid Greek of today. Have a nice time my brother (at least partially).

Anyway I know the difficulty that you have to find a date for the coming of Albanians at Balkan. This is difficult even for us because this date is before Greeks comes to Balkan and began to write the events. Anyway you Slavs can be happy because your date is documented very well. Dear from your posts you don’t merit any response, but if you prefer let me be sincere with you. First I think to change your nickname. If you call us Arnaut I suggest the nickname “Turk from Skopje” for you.
Second George Manikaes is not known in Albania. I know a little for him. He was a general of Byzantine Army ( from some sources of Albanian origin). Till here the story sounds normal, because as we know the hierarchy of Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman Empire is full with Albanians. He is one of them( may be), that is not famous for today Albanians. So no need for any monument.

There's no footage of who was vandalizing the graves now, but the world saw the looting ans destruction of churches and houses by an Albanian mob in 2004. Of course, the 2004 events were only Serb propaganda.

This one sentence negates anything you could ever say about Albanians, none could measure to you. I don't need to convince you. I have read the Batjanica mass grave news right here on B92. Bodies have already been returned from mass graves inside Serbia. Thousands are still missing. Only Serbia knows what they did with them. They don't want to tell.
Why 10 years ago you were not the same Serb people you are today? Did a spaceship come and replace all those Serbs with other brand spanking new Serbs? So you can kill today and not be held responsible 10 years from now? Nice kind of thinking you got. As Serbs you cannot just show up and act as if you respect the dead. Not only you killed these people but you did the outmost possible to get rid of the bodies so that they could never be found. So spare us the lectures. I have yet to hear one Serb express disgust towards the mass graves of those killed in your name, yet you feel you have the moral high ground to lecture others. When you start seeing an Albanian life equal to that of a Serb then we can have normal discussions. You see Albanians in these posts expressing sorrow. Still haven't seen a Serb do the same. As if throwing people in mass graves is not an atrocious act of terrorism? But who cares; they were Albanian right?

Never really thought about it until you said it. It is pathetic that the very people that denied thousands a proper burial and even dug them up from one spot to move them to central Serbia to hide them from international authorities trying to take the moral high road on some tombstones being overturned. At least these families were allowed to give their loved ones a proper burial.
And some have had the nerve to call Albanians barbarians.

Where is the Serb outcry towards these people? These people were not even buried. Instead they were killed and hidden. That's right, hidden. Because at that point they were no longer considered people by the Serbs. At that point Serbs considered them evidence. Evidence that needed to be destroyed. Do you really want to give lectures about tombstones? Where is you outcry for these people who were not even afforded one. Do you really want to compare how we treat the dead?

You did, indirectly.
Shame on Serbs for not looking after those cemeteries? Shame on your people for not allowing them to by attacking any Serb who dares to come back.

So what is more shameful, not looking after the grave or going in there and blowing it up?
Don't use that excuse. Are all Serbian cemeteries there in bad condition and need to be destroyed? How many Albanian cemeteries in Serbia which have been destroyed?
You people are savages and everyone can see it. There is no excuses for what you are doing.
Don't bring that you killed us during the war cr@p either. Our people got killed too but we do not keep attacking you and destroying your graves. It's been a long time since the war too. Are you going to use that excuse forever?
You cannot excuse the inexcusable. You can justify it to yourselves but everyone else sees this as a savage move.

Dr Who/UK

pre 11 godina

Can someone explain to me, how come Serbian graves were desecrated in peace time (if one can consider that time as such) post 1981, and now but not during the War itself?

My guess is that during the Kosovo War, the Serbian UDB was busier than during the eighties and now persecuting Albanians, and didn't have time to stage such acts on orders of their masters to give a hand the Serbian Propaganda.

Apparently clear evidence has emerged that some crimes against Serbs and Serbian culture heritage including demolishing of graves stones have been committed by Serbs themselves.

No Albanian unless soled as foreign agents or manipulated would vandalize Serbian graves as that would only serve Serbian propaganda!

All what is happening in Presevo Valley and Kosovo is staged, Serbia is trying to create conditions for territory exchange as Dacic expressed himself when commenting demonstrations and Flags used in Presevo yesterday. I suggest go and read it again and you will see what I am right.

I do not claim that the actions over the last 2 days are not ethnically motivated. But the media and posters on here are trying to portray this as some huge movement by ALL Albanians and it is the work of a few in isolated places. The ironic thing is it is done by people who have the same attitude toward Serbs as you and others here have about Albanians. The thing is you do not understand how they can think that about you, well I got news for you they do not understand your thoughts about them either.
But I stand behind my comment that if you visit any cemetery that appears abandoned and neglected you will also find traces of vandalism. Now the question of the day, you look at the picture and you can tell this is not a cemetery that is visited often or cared for, was the vandalism done in the last 2 days or last year or ? Now the next question as this is not a cemetery that is visited often was it family that discovered it or was it someone with a camera and an objective? Or was this a picture actually taken in the last 48 hours?
I am not actually looking for an answer as you would never believe that a Serb would misrepresent the facts to elicit a desired response.

Don't you get it? Whichever situation happens to be and whichever reason this cemetery was not cared for it does not give anyone the green light to destroy it? Why can't you get something as simple as that?
Also, you say it's the work of a minority and majority Albanians don't feel this way.
Rubbish, rubbish and more rubbish. Why then hasn't your wonderful KPS found who is doing this and brought them to court? Why doesn't one, just one person dob anyone in? Surely someone knows about this and doesn't agree and wants to do the right thing?
The majority is supporting this because nobody says a word. Nobody condemns it and everyone seems to be hiding the culprits.

That's why your argument doesn't make any sense.

Dear from your posts you don’t merit any response, but if you prefer let me be sincere with you. First I think to change your nickname. If you call us Arnaut I suggest the nickname “Turk from Skopje” for you.
Second George Manikaes is not known in Albania. I know a little for him. He was a general of Byzantine Army ( from some sources of Albanian origin). Till here the story sounds normal, because as we know the hierarchy of Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman Empire is full with Albanians. He is one of them( may be), that is not famous for today Albanians. So no need for any monument.
Funny is story that I read here that Albanians comes to Balkan from Sicily leaded from George Maniakes. This the first time that an army go to war together woman and children(from Sicily to Albania) loose the war but occupy the land. Funny!
Anyway I know the difficulty that you have to find a date for the coming of Albanians at Balkan. This is difficult even for us because this date is before Greeks comes to Balkan and began to write the events. Anyway you Slavs can be happy because your date is documented very well. another thread turned into the origin of Albanians. you know what, I don't care where Albanians come from. it could be proven to me beyond any reasonable doubt that we come from South Africa, and my political position on Kosova would not change. for what its worth though Leonidas, the Albanian language is a classified Indo-European one, but in its own branch.

Even from reading the comments here, from Albos, thiese pathetic actions do not surprise me. These people are brought up to be hateful and destructive. Nothing new learned here. But please, continue further educating the world. They'd love to learn more about you.

pre 11 godina

for the thought provoker, i dare you to find 10 albanian cemetaries in serbia that have been descrated as this single one of many serbian cemetaries in kosovo have.
your twisted blame-the-victim-logic is ass-tounding.
its like suggesting that because kosovo's albanian population has kept that region in abject poverty it would be appropriate to destroy them all so as to bring in energized working minded people to beautify the region.
we both can agree that that is not a proper view, or argument. can you see that your thought was not fully developed?

Peggy

pre 11 godina

I am not actually looking for an answer as you would never believe that a Serb would misrepresent the facts to elicit a desired response.
(just a thought, 22 January 2013 20:16)
========================

Again, no matter what the reason for the state cemetery is in it is simply ghoulish and evil to destroy it.

Get it now?
BTW, how do you expect us to react when this goes on and on and on? Do you expect us to like you?

Peggy

pre 11 godina

So if a grave is not neat and tidy that's your green light to destroy it? Only an Albanian would use this logic.
(Peggy, 22 January 2013 13:42)
Did not say that but of course you would think it. But I dare you to find 10 cemeteries thoughout the world that have been abandoned and grown over like this one that has not been vandalized.
(just a thought, 22 January 2013 15:00)
========================

A voice of reason, and a realistic view of the situation in Kosovo. It makes me feel better to read such an opinion. I really hope that more and more people in Kosovo will share this view and finally manage to elect some politicians who have integrity and who care for their country as a whole instead of extremists or corrupt thugs who only care for their family members and clan mates and who implicitly want to keep the unstable situation because their mafia clans benefit from it

A smart person who thinks rationally would consider that, but no bunch of uneducated Albanian war criminals and thugs inspired by hate propaganda courtesy of Pristina media.

There's no footage of who was vandalizing the graves now, but the world saw the looting ans destruction of churches and houses by an Albanian mob in 2004. Of course, the 2004 events were only Serb propaganda.

Anyway I know the difficulty that you have to find a date for the coming of Albanians at Balkan. This is difficult even for us because this date is before Greeks comes to Balkan and began to write the events. Anyway you Slavs can be happy because your date is documented very well. This are the advantages of newcomers in Balkan:)

another thread turned into the origin of Albanians. you know what, I don't care where Albanians come from. it could be proven to me beyond any reasonable doubt that we come from South Africa, and my political position on Kosova would not change. for what its worth though Leonidas, the Albanian language is a classified Indo-European one, but in its own branch.

It is such a shame to attack cemeteries. There is no reason in a world to attack cemeteries. There are thousands of other methods to express ones displeasure. Oh wait, let me guess: these Serbian graves weren't really desecrated as general caretaking fell into the hands of local Albanians who wanted to spiff them up just as nicely as the memorials to their "freedom fighters"?

Cheap Albanian propaganda -almost identical applied by Gruevski and Fyrom.Greeks are probably the only modern nation in the Balkans that can show a historical connection through the ancient Greek-Roman and Byzantine periods unlike the Albanians that cannot provide any proof of connection with Illyrians or any other ancient entity.Having said this, wake up and smell the coffee. You're Albanians with a Turkish Islamist connection originating from Caucasus. This is a fact not a fiction. The only common element between Greeks and Albanians are the borders, nothing else.
