Mr. Ljajic's support for the Serbian police is uncalled for. The very same police screwed thousands of his own people in the 1990s, and he has sold every bit of principle, if he had any, for a seat in the government. He even betrayed the Democratic Party, on whose list he was elected, and join the radicals in the government and trash minority communities. Shame on you, Mr. Minister.

No, Painter, Mr. Ljaljic is one of the few sane voices coming out of the Serbian government. He has not sold anyone out. He is for ending the decades old, if not centuries, conflicts in southern Serbia between Albanians, Serbs, Bosniaks. The officials and citizens should concentrate more on economic issues, that will improve their lives, and not pay so much attention to monuments honoring separatists. You can look at the Presevo KLA anyway you want, but they were separatists. Did they not want to separate that part of Serbia from Serbia? When Albanians can man up to what this monument really was put up for, then real dialogue can happen. It's removal has nothing to do with human or civil rights, it has to do with honoring the country you live in. If you do not honor it, then change it, but from within, not by attacking it from the outside. As I said earlier, I think that smarter and cooler minds in the international community will remind both sides that this dispute will not lead to anything good for anyone.

You albanians don't need justification to destroy serbian monuments in Kosovo. But you know what, go ahead. Destroy the ones you never got to destroy before. You are horrible people. You set up a murderous monument of criminal albanians who killed the old and defenceless and you now make threats. I would have put this "monument of evil" on a plane and dropped it over Pristina where all the other trash is.

Yes. If Kosovo Serbs will erect a Milosevic statue or something similar somewhere in the North, I'm the first who would support the destruction.

But so far, they were smart enough to stay away from such an obvious provocation, unlike these Albanians in living Presevo.

I have noticed that people like Cedo don't even get interviewed about this, well at least not by B92.
He is always interveiwed when it comes to complaining about everything else but sensitive issies like this he is not heard from.

As minister for foreign trade and telecommunications, Mr. Ljajic's reaction was uncalled for and it does not contribute to improving interethnic relations in the region. Unless he plans to export the marble of which the monument was made of. Also, if a state feels threatened by a monument erected in a village out of nowhere, then it is not really a state.

Do you not see the provocation by the alb. population in south Serbia, is it not clear?? The Serbian gov't warned them first, the Serbian Gov't encouraged peaceful protest, what more do they have to do?? All of this goes on while cemetaries are being desecrated in Kosovo (forgot to mention that did you)Serbia is the most multi-cultural country to come out of FY, Beograd is party central for all the former republics, and you have the nerve to perpetuate negativity towards this?? Shame on you!! Europe is fully aware that it needs Serbia for that region. It will be the biggest partner in the Balkans for mutiple reasons. Your statements are kind of conflicting, which one is it: Serbian government warned the Albanians, or Albanians provoked? What Albanians provoked other then protesting for the removal of their monument dedicated to their warriors?!, would any other people have done different?!
For which cemeteries are you referring to, those cemeteries filled with young Albanian boys and girls that you slaughtered? For what multicultural country are you referring to, for those boys and girls, men and women (of other cultures Bosnians, Croats etc,etc) that you killed like chickens?!,, and all that done hiding behind your bloodshed-ed “orthodox cross”?!,,,
I don’t think I perpetuate negativity towards this as you say,,, I am just expressing my opinion, Yes I do have the nerve to do that, is the nerve of pain of the people you dangled like animals and now you portray the victim?!. As far as Serbia being the biggest partner in the region, let wait and see.
