Algeria siege ends in bloodshed

Algerian troops have ended a siege at a gas facility in the Sahara, killing 11 Islamist militants after they killed seven hostages, Algerian APS agency says.

And I thought the French "special forces" in Somalia were incompetent fools. When will countries learn to stop getting involved in places that don't concern them? Keep your troops at home where they belong. And enough of this peace keeping crap the UN thinks actually works, because it doesn't.

Well done Algeria for sorting this one out and ignoring advice from western experts. The next challenge will be to resist the west imposing a never ending war in Africa. This is an African Union problem and hopefully they won't make the same mistakes the west has made. Head of the terrorist group responsible for this crisis won his spurs in Afghanistan in the 1970s, with the help of the US, UK, Saudi Arabia etc. We have to stop buying the lies from government that they know best.
