He looks more and more like a "lame duck" president.
If EU recommends the use of pink toilet paper,
Ivica will be the first to use it in public
since it's "in Serbia's best interest" to do so!

I really, really dont like Nikolic. Not for what he stands for or doesn't it is just the way he talks (like a condescending parental figure) and expresses himself (in riddles and self perceived wisdom), the way he analyses situations (everything is a conspiracy against Serbia) and the way he sees the world around him (square). I can't wait to see him go.

"There are issues that Croatia has not settled and which could make Serbia's opposition a problem for Croatia's membership in the EU," Nikolić explained, listing problems regarding Serb refugees, their property and other issues.

What a nonsense. It's surely not up to Serbia to cause any delay for Croatian EU membership. A fixed membership date is already set, btw.

About the problems he mentions above: There's good chance that these can be easier solved, once Croatia is an EU member there will be higher standards regarding laws and human rights.

And I agree with some commenter below: As long as Nikolic comes up with his stupid statements like 'Vukovar is a Serbian town', how can he expect a meeting with his Croatian counterpart?

Albanians has got from Serbia much more than every other nation had got in a contemporary history. Toma says just normal things. Why anyone ask themselves what is going on with Serbs in a republic of Albania? It's forbidden to them to speak on Serbian, to call themselves Serbian names and to use their native language as an official language. They might start a war to gain their existential human rights?

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić met with foreign reporters on Wednesday and criticized his Croatian counterpart for "avoiding to meet with him".

Why would a diplomat want to meet Nikolic?
What can one discuss with him? Chenticism, extremism, how to become an undertaker?

well croatia obviously cannot accepting meeting with him because he made bold (and stupid) statements about croatia that everyone knows, it is his big mouth that is making him lose the trust of neighbours, unlike the prime minister who is clever, who doesn't make stupid bold statements who knows what he says, who is carefully with his words, because one word can destroy relations between 2 nations and the problem with nicolic is that he made many statements that harmed the relations with croatia and bosnia and even other former yugoslav states, to some up Mr. Nicolic , you are a big mouth thats why the croatian president didn't want to meet you!

Sounds like the strategy of Croatia worked and Nikolic fed into it hook, line and sinker. As far as Serbia causing problems for Croatia in EU membership, who is he kidding?

Serbia has recognized Kosovo independence. Dacic is an ardent supporter of Kosovo independence. He meets with thaci has the customs deal, is going to send ambassador, talks about un seats for Kosovo, says Serbian sovereignty and the constitution of Serbia is dead. How many ways can he support Kosovo independence more strongly? Serbia is now one of the strongest supporters of kosovo independence in the world.
