To Joker, Kosovo war showed the best serbs had to offer for the "cradle" of their civilization, mass killings, tortures, rapes, expulsions, destructions.... on and on and on.
You see Joker, what divine serbs have offered does not compare a bit to the best Albanians have to offer.

I agree to the view of provocation. This manner to raise a Stone must create and creating frustrations on both sides. Why provocate? To start a new war or conflict? The answer is very easy, people is poor and dont have a job. People Ohly think superNationalistic.

I think it is accurate to say that as a Serbian 1st you have never supported the Albanians so don't go down that road. And if indeed you are in the US and you ever travel throughout the south you will see many monuments and cemetaries and museums honoring the soldiers of the confederacy.
One could have respected your post (while not agreeing with it) if you did not try to portray that this has changed your position.
And any person coming on this site and tries to say that Kosovo is still a part of Serbia should not be crossing the street without an assistant because they cannot see reality.
But yes the truth SHALL set you free.

In Albo they build over 700.000 bunkers, also they don't build monument to the best Albo General George Maniakes in Ohrid.
I'm positive if Albo build that monument for George ,Greaks, Makedonian Serbian including all Albo's will be wery happy and future problem in the Balkan will be over for ever. South Serbia is not place for any albo monument, George is not in Presevo.

Serbs need to keep a cool head, this is an attempt by Albanians to try to destabilize the situation in South Serbia. We all know this, because they used similar ways in Kosovo, to provocate Serbs. The solution is to simply ignore this. The time for Serbs will come but only with patience and brains. Once the time comes we will remember all the these provocations. From the attacks on Serbs in Kosovo to burning Orthodox monasteries and finally to building statues which glorify those who killed innocent ones.

Albanians understand one thing and that is brute force. Presevo is Serbian land just as Kosovo is and if the current leadership in Belgrade continues to allow these types of provocations to continue, then they will face the same situation in Presevo as they are dealing with in Kosovo.

That monument should be bulldozed by Serb authorities. The longer it is allowed to remain, the more this problem will fester. The international community has said that this is an internal Serbian matter, so deal with it decisively. The Presevo Liberation Army to which this memorial is dedicated, is recognized as a terrorist organization by the US.

Albanians have destroyed over 300 Serbian orthodox churches, many of which were named as world historical sites. The removal of one monument dedicated to a group of thugs hardly evens the score.

It seems the Serbs are Under a Black Cloud’ - Sad and depressed. The dust raised by the Prime Minister and President of Serbia ‘for a stone’ was unnecessary and tragicomic. This ‘dust’ is a proof that shows that nationalism in Balkan has no more perspective. Serbs have placed an image on Alb's people wrongly. The viewed image you usually translated in many ways and more often than not, you end up reaching the wrong conclusion. Serbs must look themselves in the mirror and ask: “Mirror – mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of us all?” and the answer would be:“ Definitely not you I’m afraid.” That’s not very nice! When we are feeling unhappy or down, or even unwell, the only way to get out of that mood is to watch something humorous on the television. Make a funny face in the mirror. Laugh out loud until all OUR blues have gone away!!! We all must try to live in peace with each other.

If their concept of "monuments",their idea of law, of civil co-existance is what they show here, there is really to be worry about the chance of this people to develop according to a minimum of "european" standard. I admire Albanians when they keep their own traditions, their values, the sense of the family and friendship but really when we go out the boundaries of these values and we talk about something more "social", more "historical", more "political"....I see just a desert that cannot be decorated by any of their monuments. Do you have court of law in Serbia? I've never heard of Police and Army putting down a memorial without a court order! I hear about "offending Serbia" and "Terrorist memorial" even more bizarre listening to Serbia's PM speaking about Al Qaeda and USA…. but no one talks about regulation, courts and local government.

If the local government have approved to keep this memorial then they have the legal power to do so and cannot just be disregarded. Plainly this is not about a war memorial…

I can see on the back of this "provocative memorial" Serbia's flag. If Serbia’s PM is so insulted why does he allow his nation flag beside the memorial?

Exactly. You took the words out of my mouth.
You cannot get permits retrospectively. If something is erected illegally then it has to be demolished and then an application for another is is considered.

I doubt they would get a permit to build something like this so that's why they just did it without a permit.

As for legalizing it, fine, but it is still an insult to the state of Serbia.
(winston, 16 January 2013 16:19)

About insulting. There are e lot of monuments and buildings in Kosovo that might insult Albanians, but people are getting used to live with that. For example, there is an unfinished church right in the university complex in the heart of Prishtina built in the time of Milosevic era. I walk at least five time a day by that church I just do not feel insulted, neither the government. Nobody protect that unfinished building no body care about it, and does not seem that somebody think to remove or destroy it.
Probably the prime minister wants Albanians of Presevo react by bollocking roads as Serbs of north Mitrovica are doing, and in this case to negotiate the exchanging of territories. He can mess up the region like Serbian government did several times recent decades, but I do not think he is going to get anything.

Im disgusted as an American that I once supported the Albanian faction during the past 15 years or so. This monument symbolizes everything that is wrong with society today. My government in the US had the KLA on a terror list and only when it was to there advantage the US government back peddled and removed the KLA from the terror list in order justify the bombing of Serbia. This monument needs to be removed. Shame on the Albanians who live in this part of Serbia. They need to grow up and stop glorifying barbarick individuals who committed un heard of crimes during the late 90's in Kosovo. I hope I'm alive one day so I can hear the REAL truth. Any Albanian that comes on this site or any other site thinking that Kosovo is any less a part of Serbia than it was 10, 15 or 20 years ago is sadly mistaken. We need all relevant state organs and highest representatives of the government, Prime Minister (Ivica) Dačić, President (Tomislav) Nikolić and First Deputy PM (Aleksandar) Vučić to show more understanding for the needs of members of the Albanian ethnic community,” he (Mustafa) pointed out.
But Mr. Mustafa, you and other ethnic Albanians must have known that this monument would be offensive to the state of Serbia, and Serbians in general. Where was your understanding and sensitivity when you chose to erect it in the city center? Tolerance must work both ways, and not just allowing minorities to have carte blanche in their actions. The monument could have been placed in the courtyard of a mosque, and none of this friction would have occurred. I cannot help but feeling that the Presevo Valley Albanians purposely wanted a little bit of "in your face, Serbia", when they selected the monuments location. As for legalizing it, fine, but it is still an insult to the state of Serbia.

I admire Albanians when they keep their own traditions, their values, the sense of the family and friendship but really when we go out the boundaries of these values and we talk about something more "social", more "historical", more "political"....I see just a desert that cannot be decorated by any of their monuments. Sad !

"This monument shows the best Albanians have to offer regarding 'culture' and 'ancient history' :)"

I agree to the view of provocation. This manner to raise a Stone must create and creating frustrations on both sides. Why provocate? To start a new war or conflict? The answer is very easy, people is poor and dont have a job. People Ohly think superNationalistic.
