"Justice Minister Nikola Selaković said that the ministry’s Inspection would file a request for the start of a misdemeanor proceeding against the Preševo municipal administration head. He explained that the Inspection would define the procedure and legal deadlines for the removal of the monument.

“After the deadline expires, we will act and remove the illegally erected memorial with the help from organs in charge of internal affairs if necessary,” Selaković underscored"

But how does this so-called "Justice" Minister know that the court will side with him regarding the misdemeanor proceedings ?! The judiciary is independent from the government in Serbia, isn't it ?! And the justice minister should know that better than anybody else...

Kovovo albanians are reday to protect albanians in presevo from what?? it is a removal of a illegal monument in serbia? And now is not the time to try to legalize it, it has to be removed in order to follow the law now if the albanians do it them selfs and then try to do it the right way maybe they get it were they want but i doubt it since it is representing the organization who killed serbian people. Tomorrow serbia should arrest the head of the albanians who approved to investigate this situation and he will ofcourse have to go to court for this action, presevo is not a country it is within the serbian territory and thats were the serbian law is ruling. Tomorrow will be the removal as i think since serbia is more like a EU country these days were the law is above all and should be in all matters. albanians must realize the reality and understand that they cant do how they wish now days. In the end i want to say this i believe is not a provocation from the serbian side as i see it is a big provocation from the albanian side with this monument. It should be removed by them selfs or they will loose it completely in order to try to leglize it.

LOL angry at what man? I laugh at you trolls. Your brother on here I forgot his name TYPES IN CAPSLOCK your method of hiding your insecurity is with exclamation points. Thats fine, to each his own because I support a persons right to choose.

There is no words in the English, Albanian or Serbian language that you can put together that will upset me. Because civilized people with a fully developed brain capacity can easily see that your statements are incoherent and usually incoherent or senseless rambling...mind you on a Serbian site.

Say what you want but the fact that you wake up and sit down on your computer everyday and check B92 says a lot about you. You are more interested in what's going on in Serbia than many Serbs are...but of course, you're likely from there.

Serbia should calm down the situation and move forward with more important things. Perhaps how ti boost the economy in the south and care more about it's Albanian minority.
(Demi, 16 January 2013 10:45)

The same minority that honors terrorists that attempt to attack the state? Would you take care of someone that just punched your mother in the face?

There is something truly wrong with Albanians in the region. You just don't get it. You don't live on Albanian land. You're just twisted in some fantasy that was made up.

Why is simple logic and morals so hard for you to understand?

You find it ok to destroy Serbian churches that have stood for hundreds of years, but if someone touches a crumby little monument built a week ago honoring terrorists, you want to go to war. You're such hypocrites. VS should have cleaned house when you touched the first church/cemetary.

You people will never understand or make any sense. Sad sad bunch. That is why you will never get any foreign investment.

I don't understand one thing, someone must have noticed this monument going up last November, and only now in January is making a stink that it is "illegal". Serbian authorities must have been informed that a monument for the killed KLA was being erected, you can't put the darn thing up in an hour. They (Presevo police) had plenty of time to intercede, and stop its construction. I find both sides to be behaving irrationally - the Albanians for not placing it in a more discreet location, as they knew well it would be offensive to Serbs, and the Serbs for dragging their feet, and not acted the moment the monument was put up. But as with most things in the Balkans, nothing is done the easy, thoughtful way. Inat (purposeful behavior) and ineptitude, are characteristics all Balkanites posses. Hopefully the monument will be moved to a more appropriate location, like the courtyard of a mosque, or simply remove the KLA insignia from it, and this monument issue can be put to rest (pun intended).

I didn't use a exclamation point anywhere in my statement, because using one doesn't make you anymore right. Rocky Need I remind you that Presevo is a serbian city located in Serbia? You threaten the prime minister of the country you live in now thats terrorism and you put up a monumment over terrorists that killed members of the policeforce in the country you live in now what is that called if not terrorism?Just because albanian live there it doesnt make it albanian land, it is SERBIAN LAND have always been and always will be.

If you want to protect something that is yours then go to albania, protect Tirana but on serbian territory you cant protect anything because his country doesnt belong to you, understood? This country is called serbia,, not albania and you should respect the country you live in.

This whole discussion is hilarious, mainly because of the typical albanian rhetoric on here. We have people like rocky and their small man syndrone mindsets barking very loud, just like a small weak dog tends to bark a lot. It reveals the true nature of these people when they are supporting terrorism, but what is more amusing is the fact that the believe some weak insurgency would be victorious. Serbia has a modern military and strong MUP units of military capability all armed with modern equipment which can be mobilised in a short period of time, especially as there is a new military base in Bujanovac. So I think that and albanians with half a brain should consider the reality of the damage an insurgency would to themselves instead of wishful thinking. Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac are all within the unanimously recognized territory of the Republic of Serbia, no nation would be willing to support albanian terrorism in this region not even NATO. The fact that NATO won the conflict for the albanians in Kosovo has no bearing on the neighbouring regions, NATO won't run to aid you guys there, and the insurgency will be swiftly crushed by the Serbian military.

Commentator, there is no point in hold a court hearing. The Serbian Justice Ministry has a firm stance on removing the monument, so in a court ruling the albanians would lose out. The albanians would fail to accept this and violence would start as a result of their frustration, a court hearing wouldn't rule against Serbs.

“If the court makes such a decision, we will respect it but we have not received such a decision and we cannot remove the monument for now,” he stressed."

Where is the problem then? Call hearing in a court settle this issue peacefully. Or is the Serbian state not ready to accept a verdict from Serbian court?

Not so tough after all, hahaha!

"Kosovo Albanians are ready to protect Albanians in Preshevo valley". Isn't it an open terrorist call to aggression ? The international community said that in 1999 Serbia committed the "aggression" in Kosovo against Albanians, so what would be any sort of attack on Serbia in that case?
Take a look at [link] and everything will get clear.

No dragan, it is not terrorism! It would be considered protecting our Albanian population, which are only protecting their ancestral lands, from the still oppressive & brutal Serbian government backed policy's, aimed at minority's! The Albanian people have not attacked Belgrade! They haven't targeted any Serbian cities, towns or villages! They will only take up arms to protect what is theirs, and that my Freind is not considered terrorism! On the contrary, if Serbia went ahead and forcefully, with military means removed the monument, then that would be considered terrorism!

For your own good Albanians (especially from Kosovo), don't resist in Presevo. It's just a monument and you should find other symbols that are not provocative to Serbia to show your support of your people.

Think logically about "armed conflict" in Serbia, especially if you come from Kosovo to join the Albanians in Presevo; it would be a suicide mission.

Preshevo Valley maybe is located inside Serbian borders but it is Albanian land.

Serbia should calm down the situation and move forward with more important things. Perhaps how ti boost the economy in the south and care more about it's Albanian minority.

(Dragan, 16 January 2013 11:35)

No dragan, it is not terrorism! It would be considered protecting our Albanian population, which are only protecting their ancestral lands, from the still oppressive & brutal Serbian government backed policy's, aimed at minority's! The Albanian people have not attacked Belgrade! They haven't targeted any Serbian cities, towns or villages! They will only take up arms to protect what is theirs, and that my Freind is not considered terrorism! On the contrary, if Serbia went ahead and forcefully, with military means removed the monument, then that would be considered terrorism!

You do know that the exclamation point is not the only way to finish a sentence right? Let me explain...there are periods (.) as well as question marks (?).

I didn't use a exclamation point anywhere in my statement, because using one doesn't make you anymore right. I realize Hoxha psychologically f**ed you guys pretty hard and its a miracle you know English at all, but perhaps you should try to carry yourself as something other. It doesn't look too appealing for others and only your kind (and Ian, their trusty sidekick) are the ones liking any of the trash you speak.

There you are question marks? And periods... With one exclamation point. Hope it will make you feel better!

Oh, some Kosovo Albanian threatening with war. And threatening with illegal crossing the administrative line. He should know what happened to the armed ROSU members who tried it last year.

Quite a bit of a stretch here. Removing the monument is the same as attacking Albanians?
What a moron.
Albanians are desperate to start another war any way possible. Have they got assurances from the US that this time NATO will bomb Serbs for touching their stone?

For your own good Albanians (especially from Kosovo), don't resist in Presevo. It's just a monument and you should find other symbols that are not provocative to Serbia to show your support of your people.

Think logically about "armed conflict" in Serbia, especially if you come from Kosovo to join the Albanians in Presevo; it would be a suicide mission.

Presevo Valley is within SERBIAN borders and has never and will never be albanian land. You can never ever be allowed to put up monuments honoring terrorists that killed serb poliecemen in SERBIA who the hell do you think you are?In this case why dont you put up a monument over Milosevic or Rankovic in Pristina?Wouldnt that be fair?
The monument will be removed and there is nothing you can do about it as the west already said that this is a serbian internal matter and they will not intervene so good bye, adios, auf wiedersehen if you dont remove it yourself.

Daniel

"On the other hand, Preševo Deputy Mayor Skender Destani told B92 Radio that the Justice Ministry had not right to remove the monument and that only the court could make such a decision.

“If the court makes such a decision, we will respect it but we have not received such a decision and we cannot remove the monument for now,” he stressed."

Where is the problem then? Call hearing in a court settle this issue peacefully. Or is the Serbian state not ready to accept a verdict from Serbian court?

SCP UK

Again: remove this monument. And replace it by a memorial for all sides!
Simple as that. Also: can the Albanian leaders in Presevo Valley AND Kosovo please state that both are party of Serbia? Thank you!
