Just as I expected, Dacic turns out to be pragmatic. A typical example for socialist technocratism. Of course, he still has Nikolic for the nationalist rhetorics to make sure the mob's kept happy.

@Winston this issue has completely gone over your head.

Kosovars don't have issue with Germans ,Bulgarians,Croatians, etc because they are not the one interfering in our internal affairs (North Mitrovica for example).

Since Serbia is the claimant to our indigenous homeland and Presheva Valley is also occupied by Serbia it is only natural that this be brought out into the open.

It is well know Serbia hates non-Serbs so why not let go of them all?

After all these years of Slav misrule I am sure 100% Shqiptares want self-determination.

Serbs are in fact hypocrites when they demand "status region/status/rights" for imported Settler Slav Serbs in Kosova but when compared to what they give in Presheva,Medvedja and Bujanoc we see their traditional hypocracy.

Beta news agency is reporting that Dačić mentioned a "UN seat for Kosovo" as he commented on Hashim Thaci's statement made previously that "the goal of the dialogue with Belgrade was for Kosovo to become a member of the UN".
I hope they will never have a seat with todays conditions.
Albanians will have to make huge concessions to get their buds on a UN chair.
Serbia already lost a lot after NATO bombing, but not everything yet.
And exchanging the preshevo valley is rediculous considering that Kosovo is yet still in serbia according to the UN 1244 resolution.
These are facts !

This Dhaciq is a moron to even compare the two. Over night he turned into the biggest Europhile.

He is committing treason and anywhere else but the Balkans he would be arrested for this violation.

Lets just hope Dhaciq is sitting in a prison cell or at least not in power before that can happen.

I hear you mate and sympathize… Unfortunately, similarly to the entire world, politicians will do what is best for them to keep power. It’s not you or the 2% of the electorate in North Kosovo that will determine Tomislav’s or Ivica’s political future, but the other 98%. Tomislav and Ivica are certainly clever enough to have learned lessons from the history of Slobodan, Vojislav and Boris and how they ended up by focusing on Kosovo for breakfast, lunch and dinner and dumping billions of Serbia’s taxpayer money in a black hole while Serbia’s economy was and is going in ruins. Tomislav and Ivica understand that having something to eat is a higher priority than folk tales of knights fighting against monsters in Kosovo :)

And there is nobody more suitable for traitorous deeds than politicians with patriotic credentials like Tomislav and Ivica; they know the max they can get is a slap on the wrist… Boris would have never dared to do these traitorous deeds. That’s why we’ve always said that Boris’ fall was the best thing for Albanians in Kosovo.

Its very clear few nations support kosovo independence more than serbia does! Ambassadors and UN seats and this resolution! meetings with thaci! not doing anything about the desecration of the cemetaries! Cemetaries are being desecrated and serbia does nothing. IT's just wrong to have the expectation that serbia will do anything because no country in the world supports kosovo independence more than serbia, no leader more than dacic, and and no people more than the overwhelming majority of the serbian people.

Just curious, why is the Presevo Valley always in the mix when the Kosovo status issue is brought up here on B92? It can't be just because Albanians live there, is it? As I know, Albanians also live in Macedonia, Greece, and other places, but no conditions are placed on those nations, so why Serbia? Maybe I'm lame, but Albanians seen to use the Albanians in southern Serbia argument, for any resolution to the Serbs in northern Kosovo, is that correct? But, these are two different places, and under the rule of two different governments. Kosovo is under Albanian rule now, with EU/US oversight, where of course Presevo is under Serbian rule. So how do we blend these two places together? What am I missing here? It can't be simply because Albanians live in both locations, can it be? After all, Albanians live in Germany, as well as most EU countries, Greece, the USA, Montenegro, etc., and no conditions are placed on these nations, why? It is not a matter of civil rights, for Albanians have their rights in Serbia. What am I missing here?

Serbia should be persuaded that the way forward to achieve a longlasting peace in the region is for Serbia to rscognise formally/officially Kosovo independence and based on reciprocity respect of rights for Serbs living in northern Kosovo to Albanians living in Presevo, Bujanovc, and Medvegja.
Easier to understand?

Do not go around and around the problem. Here is the solution to my opinion. Serbia to be made to recognize formally Kosovo independence. As two independent countries Kosovo and Serbia can discuss on reciprocity of treatment for minorities living respectively in northern Kosovo and Presevo, Bujanovc and Medvegja.

Can everyone count in how many sentences was the way forward?

"He went on to say that Serbia could discuss a seat for Kosovo in the United Nations, but in that case Priština has to give something too."

Not even 3 days after declaring it, Dacic buries the platform with his own hands. With that sentence, he broke the dam with no chance to return. It is worth mentioning it that the "UN Seat" can be debatable. In can mean observer status, too, which does not need "generosity" from Belgrade. But Dacic's statements is certainly a game changer, just as it is a concession to reality.

Question now remains what was his motive. I speculate that he wanted to push for his ideas (demarcation, partition, etc.). I also guess that this was his way to pay Nikolic back for the platform. By undermining it with that statement he also sealed this coalition. I'm pretty sure that new elections this year are inevitable.

Yes absolutely. Because we don't need to join the EU but in order to be considered an actual state they have to join the UN. This Dhaciq is a moron to even compare the two. Over night he turned into the biggest Europhile.

He is committing treason and anywhere else but the Balkans he would be arrested for this violation. Its sad because we all know Serbia cannot physically liberate Kosovo i Metohija because of the international reality, but Serbia is conceding just by being at the same table as organ extractors.

If you get a UN seat then yes, you are a state this cannot be denied. But it would only be because Serbia created your state. Still though, IF that were to ever happen, I would still opt for global conditions to change and go all in for the liberation regardless of all that.
