Your excused in more ways than one. I responded to your assertion that no one takes them seriously even though it doesn’t mean their threats aren’t credible. “No one” being the “sum zero” makes your assertion Rubbish, “aren‘t credible” when they are armed and are currently operating militarily with impunity across the region makes it a “contradiction” at best and “support” at worst. Yours attempt at doublespeak was all too obvious.

As for the Special Operations Unit is that an armed organisation or a dissolved former one? It was an anti terrorist unit by memory, did they post videos showing there current members (whoever if any), what weapons do they possess, where have they mobilised and in what operation, patrol or engagement have they been involved in, against which if any administration international or local in the last decade did they attack? FYI the ANA actions cannot be equalised by a web posting even if it was by an authentic former member. Your clutching at straws unfortunately.

The Mladic statement don’t flow, it just isn’t the same comparison. Mladic didn’t have armed platoons just outside Belgrade threatening the Dayton peace processes or accords, he was hiding re: Drenas etc. So too was Karadzic, there appearance changed so much that DNA confirmation was required to ID them. I won’t waste my time further explaining your Mladic analogy as it is clearly is flawed and I suspect to divert.

Nikolle yes the JSO made an announcement but unlike your ANA they are in their own country and not in Albania and have the full right to protect serbian territory and people. JSO are heroes amongst the serb population.

no excuse me, you wanted to challenge my assertion that these ANA enjoy popular support, they don't. let us not forget that a group calling itself Special Operations Unit yesterday came out saying they are ready to fight ethnic Albanians. by the way, my statement regarding Mladic flows for your logic

I have done nothing of the sort and as an extension to your flawed logic one can now implicate every single of the world and it's people for any wrong doing, no one is innocent. I also don't believe for a second, that Mladic ever posed with heavily armed men threatening to tear apart Dayton whilst hiding in Serbia.

My take is against the Albanians who offer material support for these ANA criminals and their call to war.

The ANA is a registered terror group (not just Serbian and regional opinion but by the United Nations administration) threatening and encouraging conflict against yet another sovereign nation today. This can destroy the stability of the region and the talks currently being made.

I must thank you for your insight, that being if Serbia takes operations limited to these criminal groups then the Albanian population by and large will not care, infact from my point it will be doing them and the region a favour.

Remove this memorial. Replace it by a monument for all the victims of violence in that area. And please learn to live in one state!
(Same goes for the Serbian province of Kosovo of course!)

Anvi, actually you might not be too far off. When Serbian soldiers who were in charge of defending their nation behaved horribly I do believe you called them evil vile beasts, not entrepreneurs, as you so casually suggest. Now what do you call the Serbian minority left in Kosova? Those that are being terrorists by the majority Albanias. Sure, not all Albanians act like that, many are good people. But many protect those that terrorize the remaining Serbians. What are we to call them? Now in Presevo, there are those requesting, what are now, foreign mercenaries, as the claim is Kosova is it's own country, as is Albania in order to defend a stone that commemorates those that attacked the nation which they all live in. Are these men who threaten the use of violence and terror Europe's newest entrepreneurs? I think terrorist fits the description a tad bit better. Don't you?

Let me ask is the ANA masters at guerilla tactics? If so and in the event the ANA wages military intervention will guerilla tactics work to their benefit if they wage guerilla style warfare on their adversaries or perceived adversaries? I may be mistaken but in the duration of US participation in the Vietnam War didn't the Vietcong resort to guerilla tactics to vanquish or supposedly vanquish U.S. forces? I'm only asking.

As a human being of this planet, of Europe and of Ballkans, I find most of the comments pretty funny! For God's sake who in the hell wants war? Why are you makeing something so small so BIG. Most of you Do not like Thaci & Dadic but yet most of you are trusting them. Because of their fault this situation is happening. Because of those two clowns we are lacking on Economic Stagnation, Poverty, Corruption, Criminal Affairs. And now we have this "LETS GO TO WAR THERE ARE TERRORISTS DOWN THERE". Oh really? Does any one of you know the real term of TERRORISM? Ask MR. Dacic he seems pretty sure on this one. Dear innocent citizens, Thaci & Tadic Were both fighting against eachother during 1997-1999 in Kosovo, Were both in opposition, Now they are both in POSITION. Dont you see a similarity between those two little idiots who are putting hate and violence including oppression, suppression and depression upon us? Dont they have to lead us into EU? Dont they have to creat more jobs for us? Or this is what they got? WAR? Comon...

I'm still waiting to hear a sensical explanation as to why the monument should be allowed to stand on Serbian soil?

In Kosovo we cannot have Serbian gravestones left in tact, but rather they are brutally destroyed. You Albanians erect a monument which clearly is a symbol of anti-Serbia on Serbian soil, and then you cry when we give you TIME to remove it yourselves or we will do so...

You are correct, cipi, Albanians in KiM have made quite a horrible bed for themselves, and continue to make that bed even more uncomfortable for themselves. Today's news of an Albanian para-military, terrorist group is going to sit quite well with the internationals in KiM. That is what KFOR, Eulex, UNMIK, etc., were just dying to hear, that the Albanians will take up arms again. But I do not understand, is this ANA group from the Presevo Valley, or from KiM? What exactly is their beef, the illegal monument in Presevo? Or maybe Albanians have that 3-musketeers motto, one for all, all for one? In any case, if the Albanians in Presevo would have sat down to discuss the erection of this "monument" with local Serbian authorities and talked, like they are advocating now, there would not be this mess today. But I have a hunch, just a hunch, that there was a bit of "provocation" intended. As I mentioned on another article, ALL ethnically exclusive monuments in the Balkans should be outlawed, and only generic "all ethnicity inclusive" monuments should be raised - as in "here lie brave soldiers that died in action fighting for their cause(s)" in Presevo, or Kosovo, or BiH, or Croatia, or Serbia, or cucamonga. Enough with this petty nationalism, it is a cancer on all the Balkan lands.

But yes nickolle as you see kosova is internationally disputed territory and not all has been determined. Serbia is not disputed territories.
So while yes a momument in north mitrovica is up commemorating Serbia soldiers, who kosovars likely consider terrorists, and so the Albanians in presevo and now from Kosovo (mind you it would seem that now these kosovars Albanians are threatening to enter what they, 98+ international states, EU, and NATO, consider to be a different country with a warring force - that sounds like an aggresor to me) in order to save a monument dedicated to fallen
Albanians, who the Serbian government consider to be terrorists.
Kosovo is being settled, Serbia already is. As the eu and us reps have said over again. No border changes.
However the real question is how tolerant would the kosovars be of this north mitro monument when it's been repeated document how tolerant they've been of churches, cemeteries and towards children. I'm unaware of regular desecration of graves on presevo. Where is the tolerance, where is the democratic spirit from the newest European democracy?

whilst part of this statement is true, it is a lot more independent than it is disputed. but do you know what, let me turn that bit 'round with ease. Serbs in the North NEVER accepted that decision, something that their own state agreed to, so you know, accept the rules of the country that you live in :-)....its too easy to turn this around. oh and by the way, i wonder how many serbs here are aware of the fact that a memorial to Serb 'fallen' soldiers exists in Mitrovica.

The Albanian Terrorists do not need to ask for this issue to be Internationalized, because the United Nations has designated the ANA as a Terrorist Group, even as the KLA were designated by America as a Terrorist Group.

The Kosovo issue is Internationalized because of UNSCR 1244, and what happens in the rest of Serbia is a matter for Serbia alone to deal with the Albanian Representatives of Sothern Serbia.

The Israelis says that you should not Compromise with Terrorists, and the Brussels Talks should be postponed until Euro America and Pristina have dealt with this issue which they created, and they should clean it up.

I would not trust the intentions of, nor believe everything that Euro America says by means of themselves or their Puppet Representatives.

A Compromise could be that the Albanians place a Monument to Slobodan Milosevic in Pristina right next to the Clinton Statue, and it should Read: Serbia and President Slobodan Milosevic were Completely Innocent, and we scheming Albanians found this Clinton Scum to do our Dirty Work to Slander the Innocent Serbs to try to Steal Serbian Land.

The Albanians should show that they want to have Good Relations with other Races of Europeans by Demanding that the outdated Kumanovo Agreement be scrapped.

Serbia now has its excuse to delay these Talks which is really an issue of People being entitled to their own Opinions, but not to their own Anti Social Lies that glorifies Terrorism.

ANA, oh Jesus, not these clowns again. They keep coming up like a bag meatball hero. What are they planning on doing, blowing more stuff up in southern Serbia, because Albanians can'r have their way? Pristina Albanians are sitting at peace table with Dacic in Brussels, and Albanians in Presevo want to kill more Serbs (over a monument this time). Where does this all end? The solution is simple, respect the laws of the country you live in, and there will be peace. And Albanian supporters, KiM is still a disputed territory, with the status not settled. Albanians desecrating Serbian graves? Albanians forming terrorist separatist movements? Looks like our Brit Ian will not be joining us in discussions today eh ;)

Anyway good. I hope these guys are prepared to turn their tough talk into action. These are just the kinds of things Serbs need to make their case as to why one Albanian country in the Balkans is MORE than enough.

Chances are though, these losers will sit behind their gay masks and talk tough in front of a camera but do nothing else. If they do, be prepared. The Serbian Military is not a bunch of 14 year old girls you can rape or 80 year old seniors you can gang up on.

This is a true military that smoked you guys in Presevo (and Kosovo i Metohija obviously before NATO intervention). And since NATO wont intervene, you will lose. Like you did in Presevo in the early 2000's and like you did in Macedonia........and like you came out on bottom in Mitrovica July 2011.

Einstein (who's wife was Serbian mind you) said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. You without NATO backing will not end up in a different result, just more defeats.

"...and Albanian supporters, KiM is still a disputed territory,..."

whilst part of this statement is true, it is a lot more independent than it is disputed. but do you know what, let me turn that bit 'round with ease. Serbia, or Yugoslavia accepted Kosova being run by the UN in the aftermath of its bombing.

If it was a "done deal", believe me, Thaci would not be doing nice nice with Ivica.

They have never recognized an independent Albanian KiM, not quite the same as Presevo. Nice try, though.

BoobyBob

pre 11 godina

Balkan Anthropologist

And here I thought something horrible like an internationally-brokered compromise was in the works. Thankfully all we've heard are childish grunts of defiance from the Albanian side and now the Do It Yourself Idiot Brigade is once again lining up for a photo and making threats it knows it can't act on. It makes it so much easier for Dacic and Vucic to look like level headed leaders. And all for a stupid monument! If there ever was a group of people that perpetually jeopardizes the extremely lucky accommodations they have with the international community by threatening instability and conflict through their immaturity and over the top opinions of themselves, it's Europe's "oldest" civilization and "youngest" democrats :)

Don't you?
