This case is no different than; the theft of roof metal sheets at Serbian church in Prizren. The case happpend few years back, yet one day a Serb official decided to talk to Serb media and report a theft at the Prizren church. Actually reporting the same incident twice as per their liking. Regardless that it occurred years back and was reported at that time.

My dear Roky Stone, you are just trying to bend facts to accommodate your rational. Albanians do in fact live and have graves in Belgrade. They are not regularly desecrated. True that majority rules is a fact onto its own, but defending such behavior shows a barbaristic nature rooted deep within. If you wish to claim a high road as a society than you must walk that line, defend the minority against the oppressive majority. This is an oppressive majority and you try to rationalize it by suggesting that it's ok because they are a majority. Then I wonder what you thought of the oppression of the riling majority's, of what was left of Yugoslavia after Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia left, attritious actions towards the Albanian minority. As far as I can guess by your logic, it is normal and those albanians should have either accepted their fate or relocated to where they form a majority. Certainly in Kosovo there was an Albanian majority, even then, but not in Serbia. If you wish to use subdivision to further attempt go qualify your logic then one cam subdivide to the absurd levels of personal space, at which point everyone is a majority in their own space.
Defending barbaric behavior makes you no better than one. Stand up and speak our against what is wrong, not what is easy.

Ardi, the answer is rather clear. Those Serbians that were suspected of such crimes you speak of have been arrested by both international and Serbian law enforcement agencies. Those arrested Serbians who were judged to be guilty, were judged by a qualified justice.
This vigilante style of justice carried out by farmers, peasants and children is completely inappropriate and must be punished. I don't expect life sentences for desecration of monuments, but a hate crime is a hate crime and should be properly dealt with as to show the society of Kosova that this hate-based intolerance is not acceptable.
Kosovars are jubilant about their newly found freedoms, and the sane person realises that however unfortunate, those lost lives, forever silenced voices were the cost of that freedom.
As it would seem your voice is clearly not singing with the choir of sane people, then clearly your voice is part of those that sing with insanity, violence and hatred. One day you will grow up. Let's hope for your sake it's sooner rather.

Presevo is with albanian majority thats why serbs cant do anything bad. Same North kosovo is serbian majority albanians cant do nothing. However this graves are in the are of majority living albanians and this may not look good for them. Think if there would be in belgrade seperate albanian graves in the areas where majority are serbs of course they will not like ajd destroy grav3s. It is human behavior in other words majority rules.

Booby, I am afraid that there is not lunatic fringe in KiM, it is the actually the Albanian majority. KiM Albanians want all the freedoms and benefits of a sovereign democratic state, but are do not exhibit it towards minorities. You cannot insist on all the rights that come with a free democracy, yet desecrate the grave of minorities. The worst thing about this is, the Pristina authorities say nothing. Kosovo treats Serb minority with respect and dignity...there are however some small group of people here in Kosovo who do not treat Serbs fairly but that is changing. Most Albanians in Kosovo want peace and to get along with each other. Albanians and Serbs in most parts of Kosovo work side by side and there is no conflict. We Albanians and Serbs need to get along with each other and stop this hate....

IbbyBibby,
as was mentioned in this thread silence makes one complicit in such crimes. Every German, regardless of thier personal actions, lack of actions, words, silence and beliefs was to blame for not stoping those attrocities of ww2. as such each and every Serbian citizen or nationals bears the burdens of those actions taken by the elite few. The population and society has accepted this. It is the responsibility of the masses to bring sanity to the lunatic fringe. By letting crimes happen, but turning a blind eye you too are part of the problem.
Serbia and Serbians have accepted their past begrugingly, because as they've and many others, noticed that certain judgemnents seemed one-sided, but the sane part of that nation has pushed the lunatic fringe back to the firnge, where as it seems with such regular barbaric behaviour kosova's lunatic fringe is still accepted by the masses.

You named three places where muslims are a majority, your trying to tell me that every muslim in Mali takes place in tomb vandalisms, all Afghans took part in the destruction of the Buddahs of Bamiyan and all Albanians support the destruction of graves?
(IbbyBibby, 15 January 2013 13:23)
No, I'm telling you that all these countries are failed states hosting terror groups/warlords who do everything to push their various extremists goals, often against the will of the majority, but there's no police/security force which is able or willing to keep public the order and ensure some minimal standards.

And how would those people react if Serbs destroyed some graveyards in Presevo?
It's almost the 17th and that Monument will go down!
Thankfully we Serbs are not evil as our Kosovo neighbours!
pre 11 godina
Let me guess what the reason is: these graves are actually graves of hardened war criminals? Just children playing and accidentally knocking over grave markers? Pre-empted "reciprocity" for what might happen in two days in Presevo? Angry Albanians taking it out on Orthodox New Year but knowing it's not time yet to beat up a real Serb (January 7 didn't go so well) so graves are targeted instead?
Only in Europe's youngest and most multiethnic democracy!
pre 11 godina
Yes, ibby, I think that all Albanians support the destruction of anything Serbian in KiM, otherwise these heinous acts would stop. But I have a feeling that not one Albanian says one word when a horrible act is committed agains a Serb, or something Serbian. In fact, I believe is is supported, outwardly or in silence. How do you feel, would you stand up and intervene if you witnessed a group of Albanians desecrating a Serbian cemetery? Tell the truth.
