This resolution explicitly recognizes Kosovo independence! It can't be argued that it doesn't. Is it's dacic own words that it does. Serbia's government is severing all claims to Kosovo and has recognized Kosovo independence. What is Serbia doing to establish sovereignty? Nothing! It's saying sovereignty is dead letter!

Serbia's President finaly ackowledged reality in that "Kosova was never ours to lose"

In other words it's not his fault Kosova is Independent.

Here is the bottom line: NATO is a dinosaur that has had it arse whipped in Afghanistan and after a loss of this magnitude there is no recovering from this little failed venture. NATO is heading straight for the dustbin of history before your eyes.
If NATO had the capacity your thinking about it would have used it against Assad in Syria, but it does not. The west has not recovered from the recession and it continues to stagnate regardless of daily predictions of a US-led recovery – it is not happening. Have a good look at the economic mess in the EU with unemployment as high as 27% to 30% in parts. Look at Slovenia, once known as “little America” of old Yugoslavia.
Let me put it to you this way. Recently there was a symposium in Asia on security and a question was posed; the US has a treaty to defend Taiwan in case China attacks it. What action would the US take to defend Taiwan.
The answer came from a western China expert from the US who said that Washington would first have to lodge a loan application with Beijing before attempting to defend Taiwan.

Let me ask you something then trizo, if it is so sacred to you, why don't you leave Australia for it? Seriously enough with this 'sacred' nonsense. You don't care for Kosova, you only like the idea of it.

Hey "other Brian" - not with resolutions from the Serbian parliament like this, they aren't! The U.S. Sec of State clearly stated that unless Serbia recognizes the reality of Kosovo independence they cannot benefit from help from the West and the E.U. is also putting pressure on Serbia to just let this issue go. After all that, this nationalist emotional movement from the parliament just makes one shake one's head. I want a peaceful, prosperous Serbia to join in a constructive way the international community. Step one is to accept the state of Kosovo. Also, listening to empty promises from the Putin regime will gain Serbia nothing.

When they occupied did they invest NO, why why do you want to just have authority , to abuse human rights discriminate in every way. Serbia has no money to run Kosovo even if miracles happened and were able to run it.
LOOK at Kosovo 13 years later , like day and night difference. No never Serbia will be able have any say in Kosovo so let it go and work hard for the Serbs in Serbia instead

Here's the bottom line: NATO has recognized the independence of Kosovo (forever, according to more than one head of state of the NATO countries) and that is backed up with incalculabel military might of NATO, so independence is a reality. The sooner Serbia "moves on" the sooner its failing economy might begin to see some relief with trade with the West. Russia certainly can't help, they are going down in their own economic mess.

Nikolle,

It's not "just a geographical location" as you put it.

It's more important and sacred to Serbs than to you Albanians. To you it's just a breeding ground. There's no real sentimental feeling.

You realise this and that is why you burn down our churches and desecrate our graveyards because that is a very strong link we have to the soil of Kosovo.

KOSOVA

Kosovo is INDEPENDENT...now do you believe us? The funny thing about all this is that the entire Balkan is Albanian land to begin with, so I don't understand why serbia is still crying, especially since they have killed so many people in the 90's

"...it is not mine to lose,"

this is what happens when people believe in metaphors. so who's is Kosova then? it sure as hell doesn't belong to Ari Gold, who only likes the idea of Kosova, but not the actual place [which is why he doesn't live there and would never leave the US for it (his idea of it is this place full of Serbian knights standing up to the Islamic horde)]. it definitely doesn't belong to Peggy either, who again engages in pointless rhetoric as if to impress. look at it rationally, Kosova is just a name for a geographical location, thats all. it is a place however that is home to around 2 million people, more than 90% of whom are not Serbs. thats it. to put it bluntly, it is not the heart of Serbia, it is the cancer of Serbia. the choice Serbia has is not Kosova or bust, it is Kosova or democracy. you can't absorb the territory without the people (though sj seems to think its feasible). now, you don't have to dig deep to see how Serbs view what would be their fellow Albanian citizens. in short, the very people that are despised here (i have to say not really by Serbian Serbs, more by diaspora Serbs) will form a very crucial part of Serbia's politics. given that their number is increasing at a higher rate than that of Serbs, within 80 years, they could become an overall majority in the whole of serbia. seriously, the more rational serb, the one who sees metaphors for what they are, can recognize that Kosova is lost and there's nothing to be done about it

"Tomo is a smart man, even though he is just an undertaker."

Ardi Asllan

No Kosovo does not belong to Nikolic, it belongs to the Serbian herritage and all those who lost their lives for the battle of Kosovo.

Being an undertaker! At least he knows the value of hard work. Beats being a criminal like your so called leaders in Pristina. Tell me, what did Thaqi, Haradinaj, Limaj etc do before they entered politics? Businessman, athlete or artist? Why don't you try mafioso, drug smugler and human trafficker. Then again, your leaders represent the population in general.

"I have lost much in life but I cannot lose Kosovo because it is not mine to lose,” Nobody could blame Nikolic for losing Kosovo, because he did not lose it. It was loste between 1966 and 1974. May be that loss was unjust, but there are so many injustices in the World. Milosevic will be blamed for the damage he inflicted in his wane quest to reintegrate Kosovo, while Tadic and Nikolic for failing to come to terms with the historical judgment and allow Serbia to go along with its life.

Ardi Asllani

That is correct. you cannot lose something that you never had. I must admit that; Tomo is a smart man, even though he is just an undertaker.

Funny to see DSS and LDP voting united - but probably out of different motivation.
