If this guy uses his Russian passport to enter Montenegro as a visitor he will get 30 days visa but if he used his French passport, assuming he hasn't given it back, would get 90 days visa to stay there. Of course, if he is dining with the Prime Minister, who knows - he may become a Montenegrin citizen soon!

So it is that easy to receive Russian citizenship after all. Well, then I wait if anybody can explain why Serbs in Kosovo have been denied the same. Well, it reflects how the Serbian-Russian "friendship" can be regarded, especially from Putin's point of view. First withdrawing the Russian army completely, then taking over the best company of Serbia for nothing and the this. What a comedy...

Lenard, what intangible drivel. What in the world are you trying to say. Better yet, who cares? As for Mr. Depardieu, bravo for his actions, why should he be held captive to Frances astronomical tax rates on the well to do? Governments all over the world have ruined their economies, with their accomplice bankers, and now demand that their citizens pay for their failures. Mr. Depardieu can be a citizen of the world, hold citizenship in Russia, live on the beautiful coast of Montenegro, and visit his native country of France when he wants. Good for you Mr. Depardieu, for giving the French politicians the middle finger. I hope more and more of the well heeled make the same move.

"Unfortunately" we have ZERO tolerance law in Russia, so you either drink or drive. If you do both, face jail and pay few thousands Bucks to the court system and public, no mercy, you are over 18 year old and can decide: drinking or driving, there are no nannies is RU to help you with the decision.

And yes, I and my kids want to live some more decades and not end being in a car crash due some imbecile who can't decide, drink or drive.

OK, Lenard - at least on that one there is (barely if any) corruption, are you an oligarkh or a peasant. Few countries in Europe and some States in the U.S. will show you what the phrase "hell on earth" does mean if you drink and drive. Russia, Poland, Hungary, California, Ukraina is what I am kind of familiar with and luckily never ever tried to "test" the full strength of law. So you drink here good eight hours before your anticipating driving and period. The smorgasbord "offered" by the law is very sadistic, starting with sobering station ("отрезвитель") and ending with d/l being gone for good and 2000 - 3000 bucks, too. The current "cap" in Hungary is 1200000 HUF, that is 4000 Euro and no one will feel sorry for you. In Poland and Russia you go for the already mentioned "отрезвитель" which is pure fun because it's like a jail - but your stomach is washed clean, should I mention more details?

In Cali you get the purest hell of American justice system.

So it's probably a great fun for that guy, richly deserved, let's his stomach being washed clean in some Moscow establishment.

And he can have his red passport, but only after the stomach cleaning and being few thousand Euro "thinner", I feel no sorry.

Congratulations to President Putin, on sutch good taste, regarding one of my all time, favorite actors .
I am even a bigger fan(if pussible) of Gerard, that Gerard is a RUSSIAN actor and may soon be occasional resident in Monte Negro.
I look farward to the new and Russian energy, in Gerards films.

Czar Putin will make Dupe a honorary oligarch with a couple of mines a oil well to tide him over. Russian peasants have their potatoes and cabbage what more do they need. If the peasants "misbehave" demand more ruthless KGB Kremlin will confiscate potatoes and the cabbage. Then the peasants will remember how good they had it when they could eat something edible.

On one hand the 13% of the Russian tax is less than the French 75% and even less than the Belgic 50%. On the other hand making friends with the President of your country is much better than to quarrel both to the President and his PM. If there could a third hand I would also add that for a man like Depardieu the exact citizenship means not much while the current PR campaign is valuable enough. If there could be more than 3 hands I would say that Putin can tribute to Depardieu’s business at least 1000 more than Holland. And finally I can say that being a Russian citizen is a really great thing. Despite the problems we have that are always multiplied & advertised by the western mass media some 4500 Frenchmen and 4100 Germans have recently received the red passports of ours. So Girard is not such a unique man unique is only his fame and the talent.
