Further to my reply to you below, I would also like to point out that, contrary to what you now claim on 8 January 2013 01:15, you didn't merely wrote "All I have said is that people are ignorant". I might have let this pass if you had really merely stated this. But this was not what you wrote earlier.

What you actually wrote on 6 January 2013 15:43 was "It just goes to show how ignorant people are on this subject." In my opinion, the phrasing of this statement of yours which started with "It just goes to show how ignorant ...." was sarcastic and contemptuous of the other posters about their lack of knowledge on the subject compared with yourself. So I felt that it was only fitting for me to ask you, with a hint of sarcasm in return, whether one has to be an expert to comment on a subject.

“I've not said that anyone here has claimed to be an expert on N Irish affairs. If you think I have said otherwise, please quote me and prove me wrong.
I never said that one has to be an expert on the subject to comment on the news story. If you think I have said otherwise, please quote me and prove me wrong. “
All I have said is that people are ignorant and that some people posting comments which are irrelevant to this news article.
Also I'm not saying that there aren't similarities to Scotland and Northern Ireland, but the similarities you brought up are not relevant to this news article.

Well, the fact that you stated that “It just goes to show how ignorant people are on this subject. “ – aren’t you therefore belittling us for a lack of expertise on the subject matter (N Ireland)? Which was why it was reasonable for me to query you as to whether one is expected to be an expert in the subject before being allowed to comment on it.

Also, I ASKED you those questions ie. whether one is expected to be an expert in the subject matter and whether there is this cardinal rule on B92 -- ASKING is NOT the same as ACCUSING somebody of something. I think it is YOU who should stop putting words into my mouth!

Finally, as for relevance, that’s a matter of opinion. To me, anything that concerns comparison with N Ireland’s position within the UK is relevant.

Where did I (or any other poster here for that matter) ever claimed to be experts in N Irish affairs? And can you show me the cardinal rule on B92 that one needs to be an expert in a subject in order to be allowed to post comments about it?

Anyway, what I did was to raise the possible similarity between Scotland and N Ireland in terms of people in both places who want to be out of the UK. And questioning the possible similarity between the subject matter of this report (N Ireland) with another territory (Scotland) in the same country is, in my view, not irrelevant.

Has anyone who commented on this news story bothered to actually read the news story?

You wouldn't think so from the comments.

They Loyalists in the North are protesting over a decision which will see the Union Jack flown over Belfast City Council 14 days a year (the same amount of days it is flown over Buckingham Palace in London). The Protesters want the Union Jack to flown 365 days a year.

These Protestant Loyalist Unionists in the Northern Ireland are radically British. They are protesting to keep Northern Ireland British.

This news story is in no way connected to Scotland, the EU, Kosovo, Serbia, the Balkans, US, Spain, Western World, Russia or China. Yet they have all got a mention on some of the comments on this news article for some reason despite being 100% unrelated. It just goes to show how ignorant people are on this subject.
