Not true. Your Serb constitution can claim planet Mars as far as I am concern, but 1244 does not say what you are saying. Unless, you are reading Serbian version of 1244, but English version prevails, since it is the source of the said document.

If Serbia's President were a reasonable and not hypocritical gentleman.........

He would only ask for what he himself has offered the minorities in Serbia.

Just a small detail that Tomislav is speaking on behalf of the Serbian people... I think you should take the lead and organize the patriotic Serbian diaspora, march to Belgrade and liberate it from the non-diaspora Serbs :)

Amend your constitution to accord with reality and it will be a lot easier to respect it. According to an article in Pescanik a couple of days ago http://pescanik.net/2012/12/ironija-kosovske-platforme/, even the platform for negotiations the politicians are arguing over that is supposedly based on the constitution violates it, because the document is internally inconsistent. As a means of tying the government's hands in order to protect the vision of a politician whose party gets less than 8% of the vote to parliament, however, it's functioned just fine.

This is the president of Serbia. The president of a country that claims to be democratic and that it deserves to be a EU member. A president that 13 years ago was part of a government that killed ten thousand Albanians today wants to reach a "historical agreement" with Albanians.An agreement that must leave Albanians unsatisfied.

Nicolic is playing a very interesting game. He must know that Albanians, US, and Germans will not accept his platform. Playing for time is one thing but there must be something else. The economic bankruptcy of the US cannot happen that soon? Because that is the only thing that could change the forces on the ground. One thing is sure: Kosovo problem will not be resolved during his government.

Apparently Serbia is running out of time, Serbia itself has projected that its unemployment would rise to 40% by next year unless EU candidacy is in the picture for Serbia. I strongly suggest Serbia concentrates on serbia's own problems. Kosova is not in the best situation either, but at least were not worried about others like Serbia is. Were fairly a new country barely recognized by 100 countries with Serbia portraying Kosova in worst possible way. Investing in north Kosova to cause problems rather than taking care of Serbian citizens in Serbia.

Kosovo will certain join UN. There is a reason NicoDacic were tied together.

Serbia has no option but to admit historic defeat. The Kosovo Platform would have been a possibility before 1999. Now it must be classified as a lost opportunity. And Serbia must not push its luck too much. As the American ambassador explained it, there are still many gains from previous victories that could be preserved for Serbia.

That's why Serbia continues to lose over and over again... Instead of trying to push things that are a win for Serbia, its focus is on making others lose. Instead of trying to be in a race for better, Serbia wants to be in a race for less worse. Serbia will only do something that is opposite of what Kosovo says, regardless of whether it is good or bad. If Kosovo were to say to Tomislav please don't commit suicide, Tomislav will shoot himself immediately :)

Kosovo is going nowhere until Belgrade says so and all of this that you see looks like it all just going around in circles. As I have said many times you Albanians are going to die there slowly.

Kosovo leaders must be also pragmatic as they can easely lost the imternational support as they continue to talk about big Albania. Everybody must be prepared to give something if both sides have intention to make a hystoric agrement.
