I have recommended few times and insist that any solution should be seen on mutual treatment of Serb minority in Kosovo to Albanians living in Presevo, Bujanovc and Medvegja....What an idiotic proposal from Nikolic's platform...envisaging autonomy for Serbs in Kosovo and not recognizing Kosovo independence...Pathetic demagog!

You will get Nothing! Absolutely Nothing! However, if you don't recognize, Serbia will also lose the ability to join the EU in the near future! Even if you don't recognize Kosovas independence, rest assured Serbia will never govern it again! That is something, that can easily be relayed to you! Oh, by the way, 98 and counting! And this one has a population of 185 million!

It would be losing a decent junk of its territory. What is the compensation? Autonomy for Serbs in KiM, like the Albanians demanded when they were a minority, and no recognition of an independent Albanian State on what Serbs consider to be their historic land. After that, we can all try and live happily ever after.

If the Serbs are asking less from you than you demanded of them, how can you tell Brussels that they want too much? If you say no to the most generous offer that you have seen up until now, something that will benefit you immediately and permanently, then realistically what do you expect will be offered to you next? Do you want to get an ugly situation behind you, end this standoff, and move on with your "country" or not?

With a traitor like Dacic involved Serbian interests will not be protected. Serbs need to kick him out. They waited forever with Tadic and in the meantime corruption flourished like never before - money was wasted by the millions, jobs were lost by hundreds of thousands and now Serbia was settled with extra debt the former government borrowed only to have it consumed by criminal corruption.

The difference is that the 'EU' still thinks it is easier to threaten and punish Belgrade to get results than to punish Pristina. EU 'standards' at work. I'm pleasantly surprised by the platform as we had been led to believe that Nikolic had supped from the poisoned Brussels cup as long as he/they actually mean it and back it up with action where necessary. Either the EU/NATO/whatever continue to push for the voluntary ethnic cleansing of the remaining serbs and other minorities from Kosovo or they take this opportunity to tell Pristina to stop f*$&"£^ about.

Pity the poor german NATO troops who have the job of shooting serb civilians when push comes to shove. Do they really believe that they will have immunity from prosecution that Berlin and Washington have promised them?

Note to others, the Commission proposes an 1% increase in salary for EU staff because they have suffered so terribly.

You need more from Serbia, than Serbia needs from you, if that weren't the case their would not be this constant groveling for more Serbian concessions. You don't even want the Serb majority areas of Kosovo, you just can't stand the idea of Serbia having them. There is a point where you have to look around and say, hmmm do I want to isolate myself like Milosevic did, or do I want to move on and make a deal with people I don't like so that my kids can have a better life and my "country" can succeed.
