Does anyone know how many Catholics live in Serbia?
(cry me a river, 21 December 2012 20:23)

What separates Catholics and Pravoslavs is (mostly) how the role of Pope is regarded. The not-so-few "Greek Catholics" of Ukraina and Russia (and Slovakia) see Pope being the "first among the equals", we tend to see him "just" equal to equals ( = bishops). That's pretty much it - and FYI: Ravenna in Italy and Santiago de Compostella in Spain are extremely important places for Serbs and Russians to visit. Many Catholics taking pilgrimage to Trinuty-Lavra in Sergiev Posad tough, so we are on equal basis.

Too bad, Albanians have not much to do with Ravenna, Santiago or Sergiev Posad, bad luck, you have donkeys instead.

It's important to remember there is far more that connects Catholic and Orthodox faith than what seperates them. Let us also keep in mind Christians, Muslims and Jews believe in the same god. The countries of former Yugoslavia should be a place for peaceful coexistance once again.

(cry me a river, 21 December 2012 20:23) it was 410,00 in 2002 and in the new census 300,000 and declining due to aging catholic mediate age in serbia is 49 years of age so in other words it will be 50,000 in 10 years time.majority is well over 50 years old.

cry me a river: it's probably around 550000 or so. 410,000 declared and ~10% of Albanians in Kosovo are Catholic making for around that number. could be more, could be less.
